(Incidentally, I’ll be posting the Chailly/Concertgebouw Mahler 3 next, also in SACD Surround just like the 9th. Unfortunately, that will complete the Mahler-Chailly/Concertgebouw Surround Sound recordings since Decca has only released all the others in standard CD Audio stereo. I’ll be starting a series of the Kitajenko/Cologne Shostakovich Symphonies in SACD Surround Sound afterward.)

Thank you Bob for your recent posting of Chailly’s excellent reading of the 8th. Can’t wait to hear his interpretation of the 9th, one of my favorite Mahler symphonies, in Hi-Rez.
