In this thread you can talk about the best and the worst ones you’ve seen, and also recommend to others what ones to check out.
Glad we have one for the purpose. 🙂
Cul de Sac
A fun little comic about a young girl named Alice and her surprisingly precocious friends, as they struggle in vain to understand the adult world.

Cow and Boy
A more obscure comic about a boy named Billy and his cow. The best ones are when Billy ends up injuring himself.

My least favorite:
Reply All
This is an abomination of art. It looks like it was made by a person with literally no artistic talent in MS Paint. The woman who makes it seems to have no grasp on what this ‘hoo-mor’ concept is, and it really wears you down reading her strips. Look at this shit. I can’t even figure out what the punchline is in half of them. If you Google "Reply All comic", it autofills in the word ‘terrible’. I’m not making that up.

And don’t you post them either
show them anyway
Optimus Prime (or Bowie, artists choice :p ), George Costanza, Rumpelstiltskin, James Sullivan and anyone else 😉
I’d say go with Optimus Prime, this way you can draw Lockdown and have 2 transformers in the sketch :p
Same. You draw Prime (or all of us), I will change my avatar. The second time I’ll have changed it in my history on the shrine.
The 5 Most Unintentionally Hilarious Comic Strips (http://www.cracked.com/article_15667_the-5-most-unintentionally-hilarious-comic-strips.html)
Well, he’s not running anymore :p
Not in so many words but he got tagged with the same characterization that defined his father: wimp. And unlike George Sr. who saw military service as a fighter pilot and had an aircraft shot out from under him Jeb’s or is that Jeb!’s been a politician all his life.
Not exactly a resume that requires a spine.

I Was Saving Those For A "Blustery Day"
Winnie the Pooh was a real jerk in his comic.
There’s a dirty comic strip I follow about a wizard apprentice and the shenaningninasgains that follow.
Shenaningans.
She. Nani. Gans. Gens.Gins.
Shenanings. 🙁
There was a storyline a few years back where an ordinary butler somehow managed to capture Spider-Man and the lady he worked for. He tied them up and planned to throw them off a cliff. Then the moron set up a camera so that he could film the incident. I am not sure why he did this. Anyway, the dumbass ended up tripping over the camera and falling off the cliff himself, lol.

Come oooooon! You know you love Frasier and their shenanigans.
😯 I DID IT!
X-rated web comic.
Young wizard is chosen to be an apprentice.
NSFW: http://oglaf.com/cumsprite/
I was told about it here in the good ol’ STS days 🙂
Here’s a wikia page about the apprentice. It will get you to click "I understand it’s dirty" button to confirm you’re mature or of age, etc.

But that’s not the one I’m thinking of…
I know there’s memes that get posted on facebook countless times about:
Mario drop-kicking Yoshi to get to a higher level and Yoshi cries as he plummets to his death
another does the same but shows deep down below the screen about all the dead Yoshi’s piling up
Something about Mario dying, gonig to hell and being tormented until he finally transforms into a Boo ghost where we see Luigi running through the mansion.
There were some really nice Mario strips like that. Some depressing. Some cynically funny.
I just can’t remember or google well enough.
I need coffee and actually grab somethign to eat.
Garfield.

That’s the source.
Here’s the images saved to PC then stacked to make a page.
(no transcoding. Original images are .GIF so I just used avsiynth to load images and stack vertically then saved as PNG)

Here’s an edit removing the last strip to make it depressing.

DORKLY!!!
They did depressing Mario.

That’s another one. I knew I saw him crying somewhere.
There’s so many out there.

clicking "tags", they only did a few Frasier strips but worth it.

Late reply. :p But Lockdown’s avatar is a transformer? 😯
WOW, and I call myself a human being.
I didn’t know either
Well, I guess we both can’t call ourselves human beings.

On self-mutiliation.
The CinemaSins version is a nice way to watch it quickly.
No that would be Megatron. Lockdown was Age of Extinction’s Megatron though, because he wasn’t in it. It was Galvatron this time, in which he is Megatron reincarnated in the original cartoon.
Yes You’re Right Beg Your Pardon. It Is Megatron.
Man Generation One was the SHIT !
Watched all the Episodes, had a decent Selection of Toys, and some of them came packaged
with Audio Dramas on Music Cassettes, so i had a couple of those, too. Can’t remember if i had any Transformer Clothes, tho’.
It’s all crap out there with lossy audio.
It’s all crap out there with lossy audio.
I think it is out in Blu-ray with lossless audio somewhere in the world, Australia?
This was hanging up on the wall directly above the water fountain of the school I was in today. Coincidence?
I was wondering that Children still knew these Characters, but then i saw the 1995.
They should remaster The Movie on bluray.
Yes, yes they should. The Movie’s got a certain "Touch", does it not 😉
You got the touch, you got the power, yeah!
That’s pretty interesting.

What movie is it? Garfield?
That’s all a sham.
Every place I’ve been to, including the place you’re at, have all the wrong information.
There are 2 blurays: UK and AUS.
Whoever uploaded the "AUS" release just made a custom bluray.
AVC from AUS and AC3 from UK.
Got into a huge fight a mod over it. Several people backing me on that, too.
Really need to order it.
All everyone does is re-upload the hack job and never prove that it’s AUS disc.
Actually… I know someone who should have it. They live right next door to AUS. : think :
Yes, yes they should. The Movie’s got a certain "Touch", does it not 😉
Here’s hoping it makes UHD-BD. :awsm:
What movie is it? Garfield?
Transformers: The Movie (1986)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092106
Guest voices: Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, Orson Welles, Scatman Crothers
And Frank Welker does Megatron. :awsm:
His voice was way too throaty and destroyed by the time Bay took up on the live action films. So he was replaced by Lord Elrond/Agent Smith.
Not enough milk. :notgood:

It really wasn’t though.
The toys were all blocky and she show was standard goofy 80’s fare.
Beast Wars took that continuity to a much better place. The IDW comics in that continuity are pretty good too.
As far as comics strips that I enjoy, I’m real fond of PBFComics though the updates are verrrryyy sparse.

Picture related to both
But, tbh, the animation looks like concept art, workprint, incomplete.
Like if ReBoot got a bigger budget and did nothing with it.
Batman Beware was another incomplete rendering but with good stories.
Cheap CG with great stories should be in comics, imo. They’re better off as stills than animation.
I guess kids don’t really care about production value, but stories are the main focus, what meaks you think kids will really sit still long enough to notice?

I hear it was INCREDIBLY violent for a kids show.
Textless is better as the visual implication is all you need.
My favorite is the father who plays horsie with his kid.

Hmm… Are you allowed to make and post your own?
Please, no Costanza and Jeb MS Paint comic strips…

and since i torrent them so to me they are webcomics:
the crossed series in general.
i love how they are a slap to the face to us zombie fans
Been a while since I watched it but I don’t think it was terribly violent.
They’re robots though so maybe I just dont think it was violent because of the lack of viscera.
Makes Jon a lonely guy just talking to a regular cat.
I don’t know about incredibly. They were robots so it’s not like there was blood and guts. It would have been incredibly violent if they had people parts I suppose.
One of the things that made it a really great show was that it didn’t shy away from presenting the good guys vs bad guys conflict as something like actual warfare, though, which meant a huge percentage of characters really died, and in most cases the deaths were permanent. That and the show’s character writing was extremely good, which meant that you actually really cared, it wasn’t like they just killed off the throwaway characters.
It was one of those weird cases of lightning striking artistically. Like most kid-oriented action shows, it was in reality a toy commercial. It also suffered from 3D animation still being new for TV shows. These weaknesses actually ended up resulting in its greatest strength, the characters. They simply did not have the time or budget to render and animate all of the Beast Wars toy characters that were coming out. Only a small handful ever appeared on the show because that was literally all they could do. So unlike the original Transformers TV show, they could spend a great deal of time on developing any character they wanted to. This is also why characters actually died in the battle — between seasons, they’d have to introduce new characters because new toys were coming out and the show was still technically a toy commercial. But the resources were still limited, so the only solution was to eliminate characters from season to season so new ones could be introduced.
That and the fact that they lucked into having some pretty good writers on the show means they were actually able to write something about interesting characters who were actually engaged in a meaningful sci fi war. The downside of course is that the show looks incredibly dated and clunky if you watch it today. The facial animations still hold up really well, but everything else looks like a PS2 game. Still worth watching for anyone who’s interested in kids shows.
oddly enough depiste beast machines being " better" i disliked it greatly.
also, dinobot (whose figure i also had, but since then lost) was my favorite character. he was cool and his voice (in spanish) was awesome.
No rational human being has ever thought that beast machines was better. Everybody hated it. Which made sense since it was horrendous.
better looking i meant.
out of nostalgia i watched the first beast wars episode online, and then beast machines.
the difference is like sd and hd.
but MY HADES, machines is worse than i remembered. but ill still have to marathon it when i marathon beastwars because i dont like missing the complete story.

It was technically better looking, but the art style more than canceled out any benefit that might have provided.

Still have the toys, all my guys (and my brother’s) are in a box. Except for the alligator version of Megatron. He’s on my entertainment center right in front of my TV.
i liked the rhino transformer, he was wise and strong
Rhinox.
