Anno 1602 (Complete Soundtrack) – Gamerip – 16bit/22.05kHz/FLAC

Recently I started playing this great old game again, and to my "horror" I noticed that the music was available nowhere … and neither were the files of the GoG / Gold Edition (originally K�nigs Edition in Germany) playable with any normal playing program. They’re some sort of 4bit IMA APDCM with wrong headers, ffmpeg produced sort of usable results but nothing I’d call perfect (clipping, background noise and weird waveform) and sox wouldn’t even start on these. They were lossy anyway (by factor 4, 16->4bit, and lossy even compared to the original already lossy wavs), so working with these would have been unsatisfactory.

Thankfully the original, normal PCM wav files are on the original Anno 1602 and the NINA expansion pack discs, so I went back to these and grabbed them from there. They’re only 22.05kHz (so not technically lossless) but for those who love the game they’re going to be fine to listen to.

I just ordered them mostly arbitrarily, but it should be a nice listening order.
