I was reading something and the series has some pretty interesting spoilers.I saw the end of assasins creed on YouTube and you see a hologram of an alien saying they aren’t gods but a dead race of aliens who were wiped out, and in assasins creed 1, when Altair is killing a religious figure, he gives a speech to al Mualim about seeking the truth and when he talks to his target he is talking about how destroying books is a bad thing and books have knowledge and should be preserved. There is also a codex where I saw on the Ubisoft people are saying that he is an atheist because of his words where he doesn’t believe in afterlife and will be gone forever. What he fights for and reason are very interesting.

The Assassin’s Creed games have had a few hit and misses with some fans. I was never interested in Altar Ibn-La’Ahad myself… it wasn’t until Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s adventures I really got into the series.

Religion played a lot in the Ezio trilogy, as the Templars were with Pope Borgia and his family… but fell behind when Ratonhnhak:ton/Connor donned the Assassin’s robes.

The only religion I can imagine Altair following is one centered around how amazingly incredible he considers himself to be. One of the most insufferable characters in gaming history – I’m not a big fan of the AC series anyway, but Altair makes playing the first game nearly impossible.
