I know, I am just tired of Sony milking the cow. Since I got the RCA editions in 1997 Sony has released the SAME sound in 2004 (with an awful presentation and less info than the RCA, but screensavers!!!), 2005 (Corellian Edition), 2007 (with a digital copy of original artwork! WUHUUUU!) and now this with the brass a little higher or lower.

We
deserved
better.

It’s possible this could be in fact a remaster. I think a lot of the hiss audible in the original Episode II CD is barely present (if not totally absent) in this new edition.

Are these remasters you did or what’s the source?

This comes from the Digital Collection that Sony Classical released in January 8, about Star Wars, it includes both the prequel and original trilogy in the pack; but Zaralyth cleverly decided to separate them. The original trilogy is featured in 192/24, straight from the master tapes used from the vynil; because this is actually an HD representation of the original vynils. The prequel soundtrack, is just the first episode soundtrack in 16/44 (I think, can’t remember exactly) the other is in more quality.

Basically, they are the soundtracks of every episode, in HD sound.

About time they did this.
Will have to re-encode everything for portables.

Now to just wait out the license on Ep 4 so they can remaster the blurays without the SE content.
