Note: I found this years ago and it didn’t take long to figure out why I had forgotten it. Before anyone gets their hopes up, the sound quality of this is quite possibly the worst of any bootleg I’ve ever heard which is a real shame since this is one of my favorite Goldsmith scores of all time. Judge me all you want, I love it.
My only reason for sharing this is to hopefully get some help cleaning it up. It may be impossible but what does it hurt to try? I don’t see Varese going back in to re-issue this any time soon.
Mega is not working hence why I uploaded to Sendspace. My apologies for the inconvenience.
I’d say "Enjoy!" but the sound quality may be a major deterrent.
And, no, there’s nothing to apologize for, M&DStW is a really fun score.
Thanks!
Consistent static occupies the entire spectrum, so I’m guessing the original source was a cassette.
Someone tried to help me years ago but there’s really not a lot to be done about it, sadly. Bummer too because it’s such a fun score and one of my top favorite Goldsmith comedy scores.
I always got a good laugh at my friend’s expense with this. His name was Todd, you would think he came from a planet of idiots from how idiotic he could sound and act and he thought it was funny. His theme became Tod the Destroyer’s theme from this movie. I really have to thank Goldsmith for taking on this silly film. It wouldn’t be nearly as fun without his musical touch.
Or if anyone has the "forbidden" album to share… I’m wide to receive. 😉
I meant the original release by the label which must not be named, not the expanded. Although at this point either (or both) would do.
