I posted a thread about obtaining the star wars sessions and I’M WORKING ON PROJECT FOR MY FINAL IN COLLEGE and he closed my thread and never said anything except why would episode seven’s be out so I made a thread and took episode seven out hr closed mt thread again and told me do not open another cause I’m "trolling" I am working on a final and I DID NOT KNOW THAT NONE ARE LEAKED until someone told me I am not pleased with this, next time tell him to explain why he closed it.

The ones making these whiny threads are often the newbies.

I guess a forum that also serves as a catalog of rare music just isn’t good enough for them.

Basically I agree with Mr. Gold, it’s pointless to complain really, it’s useless. Not worth it. An useless thread filled with useless replies and fights that won’t lead to no where as no change to good will ever be done. Deal with it. We all have to. It’s "the law"

I would venture that a lot of useless replies would realistically get "cut out", if the only ones allowed to reply to threads in this part of the forum were members of the Staff; not to mention that this section should serve to report one’s technical issues within the forum.

Any questions relating to the forums or site, such as "what is the quick reply for," should be posted here.

It still baffles me that threads like: “How do I rip *game/movie/format* blahblahblah” are left open. The goal of this area shouldn’t be providing general support.

Not sorry for finding ironic that… More often than not… The users that "complain" about the amount of useless replies are the ones contributing to the "clutter". Let’s take one dumb example that clearly proves the point:

I want to remove my account. -> Accounts aren’t deleted here on the Shrine (or something along those lines). How many times that information gets reiterated within the same, goddamn, thread? Seriously speaking, one time should be enough. Best would be for a Staffer to reply and automatically close such threads.

This place is way too "soft", in regards to rules.

I support that idea, but given the current state of this area, we’re probably better off renaming it.

I asked a question and had a misunderstood answer simple as that but this is ridiculous this forum and that is why I complain now I can contribute or I can see this forum to be shut down and report this to interface an La la land WB etc just all I ask is to explain better.

Let’s just end this this has gotten way out of hand already I won’t contribute anymore to this forum, I will only get and sometimes request.

Amanda see your the better of these, and since you put it that way I’ll contribute when I can this is the second time i feel stabbed here, the first was when I stayed up 4 nights in a row to work on the soundtrack to Small Soldiers that has no real full release and I had little to work with a DTS 5.1 surround file and few appreciated it but most complained. All I ask is a little more respect and a better explaining of things.

Hm, do you have a penchant for putting words in someone else’s mouth? I don’t post too much around the forum, I prefer to read and the conclusion I’ve come to is that we would avoid a lot of useless (mind, useless, not necessarily wrong) replies, by allowing only a Staff member of the forum to answer such threads (and close them as soon as the answer is given).

That should imply fairly well what kind of question/feedback would be okay for this place; technically speaking, a better area for your question, Amanda, would have indeed been General Discussion, because:

1) We don’t have a General support/Web/Computer-related issues area; the next best option is General Discussion, at the time, pretty much most topics which don’t have a place elsewhere can go there.
2) Questions, Feedback, Assistance should be used for technical issues within the forum, Galbadia Hotel, etcetera… If we go by what the description states. Please don’t take this as an attack, I just find very strange that threads like:

– How do I rip audio-format "X", found in game "Y"?
– How can I rip music from that website’s audio player?

Are tolerated, I hope we can agree that these issues aren’t strictly related to the Shrine.

Actually I am a music major going into composing, I use soundtracks for research, I’m also working on my first score while I am also typing on my phone as well. Sorry
