NOTE:
The DTS and Pro • Logic II Tracks are encoded in 5.1 Surround and cannot be encoded to Flac
or other compressed format and then burned to disc while retaining the DTS or Pro • Logic II Surround.
They must be left as is if you intend to create a CD. You can however encode them for other purposes.
Also the Tag info for the Pro • Logic II version cannot be edited do to existing Header encoding.
These releases have had the worst artifacts removed, though some still exist, mainly instrument noise.

Love your previous works, can’t wait to hearing this one !!!!!! BIG thanks !
I still prefer the 16Bit/44.1kHz Flac format.
Thank you very much.

Nevermind, used MKVtoolNix to convert it to MKA.
Works fine now.

I am not sure what you’ve done but now it sounds like a 1977 recording instead of a 2015
recording.
done on this score. It’s like reliving the original trilogy in an entirely new way. I can’t quite put my finger on it.
But I freaking love it. (Maybe it was intended, maybe it was not, but these definitely sound like ancient recordings now)

Cool, with a little more work I can get that 1930’s sound. The DTS version has to have a DTS decoder to play. OK, they’re all posted.
Yeah, Audacity doesn’t have that 😛

Not quite, but I’d like to have others give me some feedback too.
Like to me it sounds like it was recorded for A New Hope. It has that very old grainy feel to it.
Harsh treble & mids with reduced bass. More centered audio.
It is a lot more tame, muddy sort-of which makes it more concurrent to the original.
To me it is the opposite of the DTS version. The DTS is very in-your-face and loud.
The Logic II is very reverby, as if it were recorded in a giant hall. Muddy and easier on the ears (but still sports a harsh treble) but at the same time, the center sounds more centered, almost mono if you will. If that makes sense. The center panned audio sounds like it’s really far away. Both versions still sound like older recordings. The DTS sports more of the original feel, much like the Special Edition for ANH. I actually prefer the DTS version. Sounds more organic to me.
😎
Happy new year!

I’m going to pull the Surround Versions and redo the Surround encoding.
Best Wishes for 2016 🙂

What are you listening to the Surround Tracks on? Stereo Headphones or Multi-Channel System?
Thanks also for the scans. Happy New Year,my friend!
Happy New Year! 😀
Anyone notice that the original release is too big to fit on a standard 700 meg Disc?
What’s weird as it’s 77min 49sec long.
Thanks for DTS 96/24 😉
Why is it that I can’t drag any of it into iTunes when converted to m4a (stereo by default)? I also tried converting to Apple Lossless 5.1 using Audobe Audacity and that doesn’t work either.
What media player do you use to listen to these?
Thanks for DTS 96/24 😉
Thanks, I produced these, and hope they are enjoyable to listen to. These releases are not brick walled like the original releases. More dynamic range, and may sound slightly different
than the original releases, slightly crisper, slightly more range between low and high volume, anyway I hope they’re enjoyable.

I use Foobar with DTS Plugin. Not sure why they wouldn’t show in iTunes. Hang loose and I’ll post the Apple Lossless 5.1 Set.
Do you planned remastering the others star wars soundtrack? I would like to hear Battle of Heroes.

Great, thanks, Spectre! I converted it first and then manually opened them in batch (m4a lists iTunes as default) but when I played them I got nothing but noise, so must be doing something wrong…

Wow, a lot of thanks for this remastered soudntrack. Sounds amazing!

He already remastered other SW soundtracks in the past, if I’m not mistaken.
Probably but not sure exactly when yet.

Curious Dave. My upload is going really slow. I will be curious as to if mine play ok for you. I’m listening to it now while it takes a month to upload. What are you playing the 6 channels thru?
And actually I haven’t done the Prequel Trilogy’s yet.
Call me a noob, but do I have to convert your new .DTS files to a format, say .wav like your previous DTS version of TFA, to be playable in a regular player ? I’d use EAC3to ….
just posted
5.1 16Bit~44.1kHz M4A ALAC format
2015 – ATrX 0077-SSL16M4A [AmbroTrax™ 5.1M4A].rar 917.4 MB
The thing is, the other regular DTS release works fine, the 44.1 one with the DTS.wav files, but the 96/24 won’t play (the .DTS only files). This I don’t get. Hence my question regarding any necessary converting…
I thank you again for trying to resolve this issue, changing to AC3 won’ t be necessary as my receiver and player both handle DTS very well…
Damn,I already love the regular release, but so wanted to hear the 96/24 version you did ….

Thank you so much for your efforts, Spectre, but I can’t even drag those into iTunes 🙁 He won’t recognize any of it… So weird. Beginning to question my iTunes. Do you have iTunes, per chance? And, if so, can you add them just fine? I’ll keep the files any way, thanks for the upload. I’m sure I can get it to work.
No Dave, I only use Foobar and Media Player Classic loaded from free-codecs.com’s K-Lite Mega Pack install with DTS support.
Well that explains it… iTunes fails again. Spectre & Zaralyth, I’m on a Mac. Does VLC support 5.1?
EDIT: nvm, found it 🙂
Thanks for this awesome, great-sounding release, spectre8750! http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg548/dsphipps100/yo.gif

No, on a regular cd player through a usb hard drive. The 16.44.1 runs great, with the .wav extension. But why did the 96 /24 did have to have a different extension ? Other 96 / 24 files I got run fine…I can’t convert it properly. I thank Spectre one more time for the great job he did on the DTS version, and the hard work involved (once again….)
No, it’s not a problem at all, I just though you might want to know.
If it’s 2.0, what is your process for upmixing? How do you separate the instruments?
The redbook standard used when writing an audio CD as distinct from a data CD has less error-correction overhead and accordingly can store more data. 80 minutes of raw audio at 1411kbps actually consumes about 850mb.
You can burn it as an audio CD – but if you want to copy the files onto a data CD, you’re outta luck.

You’re welcome aktivisten
Enable Disc-at-once CD overburning checked. 82minutes.
TAudioConverter can also convert them into a large variety of other formats as well, including m4a and ape among others.
(On an aside, maybe, based on some comments here by others, they didn’t "drop" to 48 kHz, but were simply sampled at that rate from the beginning.)
———- Post added at 06:52 PM ———- Previous post was at 06:46 PM ———-
One caveat about TAudioConverter, however, that I should have mentioned: Before you try the conversion process, go into the program’s settings (located at the upper right of the program’s window), then click the "Encoding" tab on the resultant popup box, and then UNcheck "Create folder structure in output". Otherwise you might run into some problems with file/folder names being over the 256-character limit.
OK, sorry about the rabbit trail.

Now, if I’m simply reading it wrong, then I will certainly apologize most humbly and happily accept the correction. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg548/dsphipps100/nod.gif
I’m certainly not getting worked up about it anyway, I mean, isn’t the threshold of human hearing ca. 50 kHz anyway? So it would be pretty tough for somebody to really notice that much difference at 96 kHz anyway. Either way, the music certainly sounds great the way you’ve got it. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg548/dsphipps100/thumb.gif
But the Graph shows that it’s higher then a 48khz which would equal 24khz per channel.
Harsh treble & mids with reduced bass. More centered audio.
^THAT! 🙂

Being partial to loving the sound of the original 1977-1983 masters, I really love the remastering you’ve
done on this score. It’s like reliving the original trilogy in an entirely new way. I can’t quite put my finger on it.
But I freaking love it. (Maybe it was intended, maybe it was not, but these definitely sound like ancient recordings now)
^AND THIS! 🙂 Thanks Spectre8750 !! 🙂
You know I drop the Mid down a tad and the Bass up a tad and it sounds deep and rich.
Cheers!!!!
