Here’s Joan Valent’s music for the Catalan mini-series Serrallonga, la llegenda del bandoler(2008) [Serrallonga, the legend of the bandit], on the real-life brigand Joan Sala i Ferrer "Serrallonga". The music was written by the Majorcan composer Joan Valent (b. 1964), who enjoys the distinction of being the sole living Spanish composer to have had his music recorded by Deutsche Grammophon. He has also composed the anthem of the Government of the Balearic Islands and has scored Alex de la Iglesia’s latest films. The music for Serrallonga was played by the Slovak Philharmonic under David Hernando.
