Note: GrayEdwards have pointed out that track 28 and 36 might be duplicates. Hopefully they’ll fix this on the site. Certainly if one of them should have been another cue.

31 track version

Here’s the new and shorter version that they added on the site. FunnyML have provided the direct links to these files as well (see post 19), but in case anyone don’t want to download each track from the site and rename the tracks, here it is ready for you. Unlike the first 56 tracks they had on the site, this new 31 tracks did come fully tagged.

If anyone knows or want to compare both versions feel free to do so. The new 31 tracks do combine some cues, but other than that, and missing cues (versus the 56 tracks), it would be interesting to know wether there’s anything in the 31 track version that’s not in the 56 track version.

This score is great. Seems to be complete. I’m hoping the FYC CD when it leaks has lossless quality. If not.. just as long as a rip surfaces, which would be better than 192kbps MP3, I’d be happy. Thank you, by the way.

They are (almost) the same bitrate, and the OGG files are even smaller in size compared to the MP3s, but somehow the OGGs sound better to my ears than the MP3s.

…Why are they offering two encodings of the same thing though?

Thanks, this is wonderful. i read that Kramer said he wrote over two hours of music. With cues using the Lalo theme and without for the same scene’s so they had two to choose from. Hope we get to hear all that extra music…someday.

The OGG is better for low bitrates, but not compatible with Apple devices/software so well.

*IF*. Interstellar is the only one that got a disc and it was lossy. Transformers, Hercules, Noah and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles didn’t get dick. However, Noah did get a disc for Best Original Song.

The good thing about them is that you don’t really need to see the previous film(s) before seeing the current. Also, It’s my favorite of the series, which doesn’t usually happen with the fifth movie of a franchise.

Rebecca Ferguson was awesome, but I’m still mad at how little screen-time Jeremy Renner got. He was part of what made MI4 so much fun. And yes, #4 is still my favorite but it’s close, which I didn’t expect. MI still going strong. 😀

Glad to hear it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a great villain. I really don’t like much of 2 at all. It sticks out like a sore thumb in the midst of the others in the franchise. haha

I was disappointed Paula Patton didn’t return, but Rebecca Ferguson was just as entertaining.

And this is the first time I can recall enjoying the 5th film in a Franchise. The Empire Strikes Back doesn’t count, that’ll always be the third Star Wars film to me.

So were those two bonus tracks from the OST unused in the film?

I haven’t done a comparison yet, all I know is the FYC cues are not the entire score, the OST had alternate stuff and there is stuff on the OST that is not on this set.

Could seem like that. Probably a mistake done by someone along the line. But is it just an extra redundant track, or did the duplicate get in place of another cue which now is missing?

does somebody already know where the correct placement of the duplicate track is?
Is the track correctly placed at 28 – Benji Gets to Wear a Mask (3:25) or
is it correctly placed at 36 – I Am so Proud of Us (3:25)?
Maybe someone who’s seen the movie can identify it …

Thanks. I’m going to download both versions. Seems that the first one were the rough sessions cues and here are mixed together, with new (and more comfortable) names.
Some other cues of the first version are no more in the second one.
I was interested in The Big Short score, the last cue was a 12-minutes piano suite. Now it’s gone. 🙁

Most of the cues have different names, some recalling the 1� version titles.
It’s identical to the previous 31-tracks version (the 2� one), only the cue "Morocco" comes from the 1� version.

I just had a look. There’s a 31-track version again with new titles. I will update my original post with the direct links again. And there is a 53 track edition that hasn’t been published yet afaik but the audio files are there (so no tracklist)! Also included in my original post.

No slates. The 53-track version isn’t tagged either, so we don’t have titles. I am thinking about doing a comparison (including all titles). I’ll ask Joe, maybe he might be of help.
