Someone asked me to rip music from a game, as if I know how the hell to do that. The game’s files are encapsulated in a DCR file. A friend of mine recommend I use ‘Offzip’ to dump all of the game’s files and deduce which one was the audio, but either Offzip couldn’t do the job or I just didn’t use it properly. :erm:

The game in question is here (http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/files/LEGO/gms/download/Spybotics/TheNightfallIncident.zip). If anyone can figure out how to rip the music, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I got it.

33 mp3’s with a Bitrate of 16kbps and a Sample Rate of 16,000Hz… ew…

It’s an old online game, I’m not surprised the audio is that compressed. How’d you do it?

Then I guess I was just too dumb to figure out how to use it. :p

Do you mind showing me what commands you used?

offzip -a spybotics.dcr c:\output

You have to create a directory called "output" first before you can put the files there. Or name it whatever the hell you want.

That’s what I did the first time, and I was told that "the file spybotics.dcr already exists. Do you want to overwrite it?"

 Why would it be trying to write a new DCR file to the input directory?
