so do i but this has been remastered
Will there really be a huge difference?
I uploaded it from a tablet and I normally don’t have a problem with M4A
Technically its the same one released a few years ago just without the second disc.
I’ve compared both editions and they sound exactly the same.
Exactly what I was thinking.

As some had pointed out already, this is a remastered version of Intrada’s earlier release from 2009 (Intrada ISC 116), which was a 2-CD release. CD 1 of that earlier release had the exact same music as this new remastered edit, while CD 2, which was ignored completely, featured several early, unused versions of different cues. Here is the track list of CD 2 from the 2009 edition:
Disc 2 – THE CREATION OF A CLASSIC: ALTERNATE EARLY SESSIONS (37:28 mins.)
1. DeLorean Reveal (00:40)
2. Einstein Disintegrated (01:25)
3. Peabody Barn (02:17)
4. Marty Ditches DeLorean (01:56)
5. ’55 Town Square I (Trumpet Open) (01:35)
6. ’55 Town Square II (Trumpet Mute) (01:35)
7. Retrieve DeLorean (01:16)
8. 1,21 Jigowatts (01:36)
9. The Picture (01:08)
10. Skateboard Chase (01:40)
11. George To The Rescue (04:13)
12. Tension / The Kiss (01:42)
13. Clocktower (11:02)
14. ’85 Lone Pine Mall (03:50)
15. Doc Returns (01:19)
16. Bonus Track: Ling Ting Ring (Unused Source Cue) (02:01)
For those who were disappointed that the new remastered edition only featured the main CD, and for the completists, I decided to upload CD 2 from that earlier 2009 release. I’ve added the artwork, too.
Update: link now in FLAC, replacing the earlier m4a link!

Well, not quite. First, the first 2-CD release is now out-of-print, and thus will rise up in prices (I’ve seen ebay offers for up to 100 US-$ for the earlier 2-CD release!). Secondly, the new release is, as they announced it, a remastered version (whatever that means, I’m sure audiophile people with the technical background could verify if that is true – I can’t). Intrada even wrote in its announcement on its homepage: "Owners of the original 2-CD set need not apply" when announcing this new edition, basically saying, it’s not worth the purchase, if you have the old one. And if you DON’T have the original edition, but don’t want to invest a hundred bucks for it on ebay, this new release it the album to go for, for just 20.95 US-$. That’s not a rip-off, but a fair offer for anybody who wants it, IMHO!
Well, and if you have missed the old release, but want the elusive second CD with the unused session takes, too: see my last message and screw ebay! 😉
I think it’s the same disc, not remastered. The spectrograms of the files are identical.
Not being annoying, will you post, at least BTTF2? I’d also be interested in the scans of BTTF3. ^^
