I know there are some people who seem to not like Iwashiro much…. but why? Truth be told anything I invite myself to hear from him, I always come out of it amazed in some way.
Though…. I have to say that Red Cliff was a great soundtrack and I so love it both soundtracks. This Arslan….. wow. There is so many material that catches on so fast in your earing system. xD
I will risk to say that this one of those perfect scores, because there is so much emotion in all tracks, that you coudl point out which emotion are they referring to.

I loved this… but now I need to go listen my dear Red Cliff. xD

I agree. The music is fantastic and one of the best parts of the anime. It makes the show so much better. I’ve never wanted a soundtrack so badly as I did while watching Arslan. And for whatever reason they took their sweet time releasing it. The wait was brutal.

Agreed; while ‘haste makes waste’ is a saying for a reason, it does a soundtrack a disservice to tarry overlong in releasing it after its ‘host’. Recently, Koei saw fit to spawn a game treatment (official site (http://www.koeitecmoamerica.com/arslan/); playthrough (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLktZQBrBlaHaEzDccOzIivf_5ZfWgkWjb)) which so far seems to a good job of presenting the storyline.

Thanks LeatherHead, this is beautiful. Arslan and Taro Iwashiro. Two of my favourites. I have the old anime version soundtrack; -the half-way made it- Legend of Arslan anime before millennium. Also Taro Iwashiro composed Azumi’s soundtrack. It is very good.
