Enjoy!
Was not expecting that in a Bond film, at all.
Finally, Thomas Newman brought something brilliant this time. Wow!
I’d love to listen to complete longer version of this piece.

BTW, thanks for the preview. 🙂
Precisely the comparison I’ve been making to people complaining on Bond forums "OMG he’s lazy he reused Skyfall".
Won’t be surprised if one or two of Arnold’s CR/QoS themes show up too.
My gosh! Donna Lucia is very beautiful.

I believe that’s the full track.
Same here, I love it when composers re-use themes. Not in a lazy way, but in a way that makes the franchise feel musically unified.
Especially this is nice in the Craig films as they are to Bond what the Nolan films are to Batman – essentially.
Given the way Zimmer writes scores (making suites and having RC people arranging them into a film), most of the work in Batman was purely arrangements (TDKR, for example, was mostly Lorne Balfe arranging Zimmer’s suites). Only JNH wrote music by actually watching the film.
Yeah SkyFall’s score was a bit forgettable, and in fact I still think David Arnold should be brought back, but Thomas Newman has consistently been top tier for some three decades and amongst my most favorite! Glad Newman is branching outside of the comfort of his mastered prestige drama sandbox and continuing to diversify and refine!
You mean the ‘Te Deum’ act one finale from Puccini’s Tosca – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgWW6o1y9xI
Love the fact that Thomas Newman is reprising his action material from the pre credits of skyfall where he just couldn’t shut up (the car chase, bike chase, digger scene and train fight followed by some bloody tense scoring as bond was about to get shot off the train)
Nooooo…I mean, Night at the Opera. By David Arnold. I should have clarified that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsbXFm_NaSI
I like it when a composer reuses tunes from previous films they’ve scored. I thought it worked perfectly in TDKR. There was plenty of new material as well as all the original themes making plenty of appearances.
Now PotC 4 on the other hand, that is what I would call overdone.
Looking forward to listening to these.

There were no themes in the TDK Trilogy… just random noise and ambience and consistant banging… only decent music was from James Newton Howard….
Cant wait for Thomas Newman to be done with Bond….
Backfire sounds like something Zimmer would do… its shit… I long for the day Arnold returns
While at same time being overwrought and undercooked.
As for reusing themes, ah, John Williams & James Horner?
album release: 23rd october for UK & Germany on amazon 🙂

Stop hating, it’s not healthy for you.
The full score album? Or just this sampler haha
Thanks for the sampler!
It’s better for the business of the artist of the title song though ! The instrumental version of the title song is enough for me this time…..
