Ditto to ‘dsch1956’ when he said "A Wild West private eye with a double-barrel shotgun and a jazz score."
I only, about 3 months back, got to realise the fact that it was probably unique in being the first and only western to constantly use jazz, and that’s why I consider it to be classed in the mode of ‘crime jazz’.
Funny how well the combination worked, but the show has really gone unnoticed for such a long time.

A lot of the stuff I post doesn’t withstand numerous listens. A track here and a track there, but not the entire album. This is different. It’s as fresh-sounding today as when it was released. I hated westerns as a kid, so this show was never on my radar. There are a bunch of episodes on YouTube. Time to play catch-up!
