There’s a game I would like to rip the sound effects from.

I’ve made some progress, but I hit a snag.

The music is stored in three raw PCM files, but the sound effects are stored in two sets of BIN files.

Using various tools, I was able to make some progress, but now I’m having trouble.

I used VGMTrans, and I found out that these were most likely VAB files (or at least contained them). I can rip some of the sound effects directly from the file, but other sound effects seem to be sequenced. I’ve tried ripping the files and compiling some PSFs with VGMToolbox, but they’re not very accurate, to say the least.

The reason I tried to make PSFs instead of PSF2s is because the file formats that were extracted were SEQ, VH, and VB, which are all PS1 files.

I tried PSound, but it only has mono, and the sample rate seems to vary from sound to sound.

If it helps, I’m trying to rip "Flower, Sun and Rain", or "Hana to Taiyou to Ame to."

I’ve ripped the sound effects from the DS version, but the PS2 version seems to have more of them.

I’m new to this, by the way.
