Description:
I’ve made this rip because of inferior quality of the official soundtrack release; all tracks sound muffled like a low bitrate MP3, some tracks are incomplete and some tracks are missing entirely.
This rip includes all race music, menu music and car select music, including two race tracks that were not officially released and unused menu music. Does not include cutscene music since each cutscene in the game has music, SFX and speech all in the same audio track. Race music segments are arranged in the exact same order they play in-game. Ripped from PC version.

But is there any difference between this one and the one from OrangeC?
Sorry if this may be already answered in another thread!

In OrangeC’s Rip some segments are arranged in a wrong order, Post Race tracks are looped incorrectly (both "head" and "loop" parts are looped together), 5.1 surround audio is downmixed to stereo incorrectly and I think two of Car Select tracks are missing.
+ he changed sample rate 48000 hz to 44100.This is big mistake.
No problem i like that.
I think for loops(post races) is enogh 1:30 min max.
I’ve used Audacity. Channels in this game’s 5.1 files go in this order: Left, Center, Right, Back Left, Back Right, LFE. After aligning each channel to the correct side I had to reduce volumes of channels. First, -6 dB all channels to avoid clipping, then -3 dB Center, Back Left and Back Right. It’s also recommended to exclude LFE channel. I’ve did a bit of research, that’s approximately how Dolby Digital decoders downmix 5.1.
I can confirm the clipping, it’s heavy.
Can you post wich tracks clipping?
Orange rips was not better than rips from Nick.

However, 30 Car Select 2 looks like a hard limiter was placed on it which is why I remain unsure as to whether the original source audio is just compressed like that or if it was all in the mixdown.
Many thanks for this.
The only tracks that were 5.1 surround are Front End ones and as you can see they’re not clipping. Car Select are just regular stereo so if there’s any clipping it’s an issue with original audio. Race music consists of two stereo tracks which are mixed together in-game and here’s where the problem is. I can’t attenuate those tracks to bring peak amplitude below 0 db because that would make the music too quiet. Any suggestions?
Respect you and others!
