Based on the popular "Gall Force" animated movies, "The Revolution" was one of several made-for-video spin-offs. In this installment (told in 4 episodes), the East and West Force Armies are engaged in a civil war that could bring total destruction. Some prefer a more peaceful world, and soldiers from both Forces run away to join an outlawed anti-war gang intent on stopping the violence. Oshima’s score has lots of dramatic action, while the slower music is more impressionistic. The finale is a soaring tune that lets us know the good guys win.
13 tracks on Sony Japan #SRCL 3749. Released in 1997.
