Some people in the house know how much I used to complained about Mizutani composing skills, and the fact that he "emulated" Takanashi for so long, did not helped him at all, as he was no showing us his "own self" through his music. And I have always tried my best to give him a chance. He seems to know one or tow things about composing, but I always ended up going way from him.
This soundtrack makes me glad of continuing to try him out. I can’t remember if I did like his last Nonnon installment, but I can say I enjoy this one very much. And this new Strings Group he worked with sounds, Sounds much better to my ears then some particular group strings I am not very fond of. I also think the mastering issues in this album were very good. I have heard some soundtracks with a many questionable decisions in mastering. But hey! Nobody’s perfect! The mastering in this album was really something that pulled off many cues in here.
I’ll give it a 4 star, as the enjoyment was bigger then I expected.
