It’s been in the hands of the circle jerk for quite a few years now and they were hoarding it because of it’s value. This is MANY people’s HZ Grail.

Makes you wonder about the validity of the same story being applied to the elusive Titanic sessions. I wonder if nobody actually wants to share, not that they can’t.

I never understood why so much hype about Titanic. The official album was already quite complete. There’s not much unreleased new music left…
But Hannibal.. we had to settle with that mediocre album with dialogue all over it! Can’t wait to listen to this one. I sense a new Renovatio addition to the queue… 😛

It’s about time, it’s nice to see that people can actually hear these tracks that have been buried for so long.

I ain’t kidding. I’ve always been more than satisfied with the official album. Best tracks from the film are already there… But that’s just my opinion…

b.) it was kept hidden from everyone (well, mostly everyone) for years

Titanic score is phenomenal. So, a soundtrack release in complete format is much needed.

I wonder if it’s another HP3 situation where the OP is trying to trick someone who actually has it into posting it publicly.

Possibly a classical source cue. I wouldn’t imagine much to be missing between 7M35 and 7M37 considering where it’s at in the film. Probably more Bach.

Only thing that bugs me is how Aria de Capo is nowhere to be found here.

Once the FLAC files are released (if ever), I wouldn’t mind re-doing this edition. I didn’t have a lot of time to do a lot to the set but I did listen to it all the way through and made necessary sound leveling adjustments wherever needed. As is usual with Zimmer scores, the dynamic range is here, there and everywhere. Cues start out really quiet and grow to such volume that it’s hard to edit around those cues. Luckily it only happened on a small handful of cues on this set. The Adagio cue on my edit had to be carefully adjusted because of that exact problem. In the end it’s not perfect but it’s a good idea of the type of deluxe edition I would like to do for it. I found myself oddly in love with the score. I didn’t recall much from the music particularly striking me in context of the film in the past but listening to it now, I wish that Zimmer would do more scores like this, with or without his assistants. Pity that the movie just wasn’t that great.

No no, Mega is good but there are things to know.. if you can’t download it under firefox try it with Google Chrome (better) and don’t download it directly, import it into your storage space 😉

Follow the link and it’ll take you right to the post I put my link. I’ve heard reports that you may need to log in to OneDrive with a Microsoft account to download the files but I’ve only had two complaints so far so I imagine the others have it figured out.

No clue but I liked it enough to clean it up and include it on my deluxe edition. It was included on 2 bootlegs that I owned: a (legit) 2-CD expanded score and a Steve Jablonsky bootleg. Many claim the Jablonsky bootleg to be a fake but it’s hard for me to say. Maybe DAKoftheOTA can inform us when he finishes the film. I don’t have a copy handy and my memory is limited to certain pieces that are already included on the sessions and the bootlegs. I suppose I never put more than a fleeting thought into its origin.

I’ve never tried using OneDrive without logging in but creating a Microsoft account if you don’t have one takes no time at all. I apologize for the inconvenience but it’s the easiest way to share files for me right now.

It seems if you choose the Download button at top, you only end up at a login page for the site. Regardless if only one or several files have been selected. But if you click on the trackname itself, a dl window will pop up. Although that would mean doing so for each and every track, one by one. I guess creating an account would make the option of dl multiple files together possible though ?!

Was it Zimmer’s or the label’s idea? Either way it is poor fan service, and I have always wanted a version of the OST without dialogue (of course, I have always wanted the sessions, but figured a dialogue-free OST was more likely!).

I really don’t get the dialogue idea… I imagine most people buy soundtracks (especially score soundtracks) to hear the music separate to the film, and if we wanted to hear the score covered with dialogue, then wouldn’t we just watch the film? Yes, it’s a recent re-recorded (and revised) version of the score. Not the original recording used in the film. I haven’t been able to check out this new recording yet, so I don’t know how different (or alike) it sounds vs the original one.
