Never watched past the first atrocious episode, which I believe was scored by McCreary, so I’m curious to know if is this material is imitative of McCreary or a knockoff of bargain basement RCP?

It breathes McCreary through.Ortega is VERY good at fusing with McCreary.

Listening to McCreary’s Defiance album now (skipping the songs) — not bad, though the hard rock elements aren’t really to my taste — but I’ll take up your recommendation anyway and sample Ortega’s work.
