This splendid concert, held in honour of John Williams’ 83rd Birthday isn’t just about Star Wars – although that score receives the biggest cheer of the evening. We get a lovely performance of "Soundings" – a classical piece written to celebrate the opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. There’s a delightful showpiece for violin and orchestra based on "Fiddler on the Roof". There’s a deliciously jazzy concerto for saxophone, vibraphone, and double bass, based on Catch Me If You Can. There’s a three movement suite from Schindler’s List performed by Itzhak Perlman. It’s a glorious concert, with a well behaved audience (except for "Imperial March" which was conducted by Williams himself).

It has been posted before – in recordings from French and German television broadcasts. This post comes from the recent Bluray release of the concert. You can have it four different ways:

Not on any torrent sites at the moment – this is my first torrent (to seed) so this has been more of an experiment. I’ve applied for an uploader account at Kickass. I might see if I can put it on TPB as well. It seems like the seeders are drying up now…

I will try the 720p version via torrent of course XD Right now I started downloading and there are 5 seeds and 2 leechers (one myself) and downloading steady. As they suggested before, it would get more attention posting it at kat / TPB / myspleen…
I would probably grab a flac version of the concert since I dont usually watch this things more than once but I listen them more regularly. So I was thinking… what version should I choose? Is the audio here better or at any of the versions posted at Thread 189821 ?

Hey Tangotreats … all your download links are now dead. I know, this was almost 2 years ago … my 1 yr old somehow ‘found’ this broadcasting on TV while I was at work today, and the wife sent me a quick clip.
