Who has the most posts on the shrine? Most I’ve seen is 7k+.
Edit: Ok, Sparky has almost 20k… Wow.

Seriously I don’t know how someone amasses that many posts here. There’s never much discussion going on as far as I can tell.

I’ve been active here for 11 and I haven’t broken 1000.

Last time I spoke with him (about 2 years ago), he said he was done with this site and not going to come back again.

Yeah, kind of what I noticed. When I registered here I was an admin at FFGurus and I kind of saw the Shrine as my top competition. Now this is like, the only FF fan forum left in town and it’s still a chore to get new people involved, in spite of the DL section thriving.

There’s quite a few other FF forums (I’m a member of at least two) which are active… but this was the first forum I joined, and kinda feel attached. Thing is… the way it’s going now… I just don’t know…

Oh? What others are still kicking? I know the Caves of Narshe crew has stuck together for ages, can’t remember any others I used to frequent that don’t return a dead link.

Only in certain subforums… a lot don’t have any or are just spam filled responses, for new members to get their post count up so they can get PM rights.

I never realized there was a requirement for that, but suddenly a lot of the activity here makes more sense to me….

I’ve been on here just over a year and am quite close to 200. Not too bad, I would say.
There was a huge gap where I forgot about the site and there would most likely be more. I think Neb has the most posts… No idea how he would get almost 40k as I’ve never seen a single post by him.

I mean, nearly 300 seems like way too much for me, considering I only started posting 8 months ago… How did I accrue that many, I’ll never know.

i registered for hades-knows what, and forgot about the site for about two years then stumbled upon a random link on google.
havent left since then.
also, while its true the most active subforum is the downloads, people tend to discuss a lot in there (the many many many MANY interstellar threads, anyone?) and quickly deviate from the thread. in the thread i posted the most, we talked about how awful it is that no time for caution was included, to what headphones we used, to fucking transformers. smart (and/or lazy) people wouldnt need to make a thread in general when the discussion is in the hyped OST of the week.

the fact 80% of normal users (ie, non leechers) have left for various reasons from persecution, intolerance and boredom to suicides with no bodies found have also contributed to the decline.

I have almost 2000 now.

I had 900 in March.

It wasn’t until earlier this year that I hit 1,000 posts. Around March I think. I’ve somehow made 2000 more since then. :p

Again, I took a long break from the forums after I logged on, downloaded the score I wanted, then left.
Then I noticed that this website had began to be visited a lot by me while I was searching for what I wanted, and remembered I have an account.

I slowly eased my way into the depths of the lovely people of the general discussion section, and by golly I am glad I did.
I have no idea how I lived life without knowing about this place. Every time I open my internet browser I automatically type F and enter.
I have to type in FA to visit Facebook. Ha.
