H20O just add water (Ricky Edwards) TV show

Anyone knows if there is a score release of this?
Ricky Edwards has some tracks on hi soundcloud… but there is one specific track I am looking for, and.. unless someone did rip complete rip or something…
any help please?

I assume the show only got a stereo mix?

My sister watched this, and I eventually got sucked into it myself… it’s actually a cleverly written show.

No . I don’t have it.

Took a look at that 5.1 audio… pretty sure it’s fake 5.1…. it’s more or less unusable as there are distortions in all channels whenever there’s dialogue.

Yeah, I’ve done it several times before with fantastic results (Wallace and Gromit, Wolverine & the X-Men, The Spectacular Spider-Man, etc.)

It wouldn’t work with this sound mix, though.

You could try contacting Edwards himself (http://www.rickyedwards.com/#!contact/c20x9) about obtaining that particular piece, though.

But that could mean anything. Doens’t look like a major production that mixed for actual surround sound. Or like a few sfx only in surround sound.
I checked some torrent sites and they’re all have stereo audio only, for all 3 seasons.

Yeah. The DVDs seem to be stereo, but maybe it aired in 5.1. Or maybe the Wiki is wrong.

The 5.1 audio file I looked at was Russian. And 5.1 Russian audio often means "music and SFX in surrounding channels with Russian dubbing in the center".

The TV rips are all SD. Only season 3 was done in HD.
All torrent sites are converting audio to MP3 for the SD TV rips.
But all those get superceded by the iTunes rips, which are AAC/2.0.

The studio probably upscaled 2.0 to 5.1.
Quite common in TV productions.

If it did air in 5.1, the torrent groups probably decided to downmix to stereo on account there’s no use having 5.1.
Wiki would be correct, in all sense, but not through their own fault.

I wouldn’t mind a rip of the music either. Score wise… the OSTs (with the vocal tracks already exist)

About a possible soundtrack release:

As it turns out we may be having a discussion at JMSP soon regarding a score soundtrack album for Mako Mermaids. Some of the themes from h2o were adapted for Mako and will possibly appear in their Mako form on the album. As we haven’t had the discussion yet I have no in formation and no promises but we are enthusiastic about it.

Its what Ricky Edwards told me when I contacted him my e-mail.

In that case I wonder why he doesn’t post a bunch of H20 stuff to SoundCloud and save Mako Mermaids for the soundtrack release.
