You have to agree he’s right. Not that a YouTube link would open something like that, but it just makes things easier. What you’re doing is like posting a link to a new cover in the custom covers thread, instead of posting the actual image itself. Not everyone (myself included) is going to want to click a link that’s gonna open another tab on their computer. Or open the YouTube app on their smartphone/device.

Well not all of them are better, it’s just an entire playlist of songs that I have covers of. But it consists of the original and the cover.

Not saying it’s better (because it’s not), but I love GNR’s cover of Bob Dylan’s Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door. The original is way too short, I really like how the cover is more than twice the length.
