I ripped the music from the game after torrenting it trying to see how bad it was and it was, uh….yeah…

What is the format and bitrate of the ingame music? Are either of the above direct rips or are they reencoded?

The Ogg version is a direct rip. The MP3 version is a OGG-to-MP3 conversion at 320 kbps. I’m not 100% sure what the bitrate is for the original Ogg format, though.

Thanks for the information. I use a dual pane file manager called ‘Total Commander’ with the MMedia plugin installed, and when I hit the Quickview button it starts playing a track and provides Tag information and information like bitrate and sampling frequency. very useful when you have to deal with hoardes of files.

Haha, cool. The music is quite nice. It’s such a shame it ended up in a game that was…lackluster, to put it nicely.

Lackluster is an understatement haha. I do appreciate the kind words on the music. I’ve been looking forever to see if there had been any discussion about it but all I’m ever able to find is game reviews, never touching on the soundtrack.
