Cyan’s third Bushido, slash(tiger) displays incorrectly in Snes9x 1.9.0 with every background layer on and default display settings. Do any of you know a way to correct it? (I don’t know if this is where this kind of question goes)
the following are screenshots of the graphical error.

I’m not entirely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of emulation, but all I can suggest is perhaps playing around with the emulator’s graphic settings. It could be a bug with the emulator, in which case to contact the emulator’s author and see if they can address the issue, or otherwise try another emulator and see if the problem is repeated.

You might have hit a hotkey that reverse the colors. If you can tweak in graphic options, look into it, for something like "filters" I don’t know.
Otherwise, uninstall Snes9x and install it again (mind the save files you want to backup first!)

Anyway it comes from your setup as you can play FF6 from beginning to end without any issues. I did. Several times ^^
