I weep the loss of any member of the community… but the end of an era? No. You’ve deleted some stuff, for your own reasons, and whatever they may be those reasons are utterly valid. However, twenty thousand other people will continue where you leave off.

From what I gather, it may not continue. Folks want answers about the money situation, where it is going, why so much, and a bunch of stuff about Sarah I feel should remain private. One more pledge drive and they’re gone. They are building several opttions nod. Most seem to have come from the Anime lossless thread. Before now I have never heard of the.But they are the ones with deeper than average pocket. They claim to have support from all of the forums, and that the main big posters (the important ones) will just walk away. Down below I’d bet few were in on this. **high seas pirate**

As long as there is more than one copy of a CD in existence, no one poster is important – at least, as far as PROVIDING THINGS is concerned. Discussion, which is a different kettle of fish and which requires humans, not just nameless conceptual uploading machines, doesn’t tend to happen much outside of certain threads.

The people who trumpet the loudest about leaving… well, it’s a shame that they’re putting politics and children’s power struggle games at the top of their agenda… but if they want to do it, it’s a mostly free internet.

I’ll be sad if and when FFShrine ceases to exist… but it’s not going to make one JOT of a difference to what I listen to and who I talk to about about it. In the end, it’ll be the end of a URL, not an era.

1) I gather that the users being "loudest" about the issue(s) with Sarah are at least part of the users which donate and keep this place afloat. I don’t know how it works in your neck of the woods, but where I come from folks who do that have a right to be this loud, especially in this very case, where the person who’s asking them money has ignored them for a long time.

2) Though I’ve not been the one to disclose the "biggest chunk" of personal information about our admin, it’s out there in the Internet — effectively within everyone’s reach, and it is a source of concern. I’ve troubles believing that the entirety of that stuff is merely the consequence of someone’s mind~fart.

3) Despite some of my claims, I do care a bit for this goddamn community. I’ve come to discover that while folks here were asking legitimate questions to where the money was going and/or, heck, even smallest stuff like lack of perks, our admin busied himself shit-posting elsewhere. Don’t start with the litany "it’s Sarah’s business what he/she does," that defense works up to a certain point, a point we’re way beyond by now. Sarah’s the boss around here, for fuck’s sake and evidence has him/her as quite the crappy boss. Way to go.

There’s reason to believe the Shrine’s days are counted, and if someone prefers to drop off this place and set up shop somewhere else (which would end up being potentially more stable than the Shrine, both technically and financially), there’s no reason to feel sad/ashamed about it. Technically speaking, they could have done so even if things on the Shrine were fine and dandy.

nope, nope and a big nope. the folks of the anime lossless thread like to give themselves an importance they simply don’t have. Also don’t believe that crap about deeper than average pocket. I can get a solid 20 rarer than average anime CDs in Paris for just over 40€. no "deep" pocket involved. you just need to know the right places.

which is exactly what most of the crowd from the old "shoot the shit" thread did two and a half years ago. I stayed behind because I’ve invested time in a sub-community of this forum, but that’s all. When Shrine dies (not if, when. everything comes to an end.) I’ve got plans. same as other folks around. I’m just a lot less vocal about these plans than the high and mighty lossless crowd.

Me is back. No more speculations. I had a crisis which has been averted by now. You are good people.

From today onwards I HAVE OFFICIALLY RETIRED from uploading stuff. It is time for other people to carry on. I have many reasons, one of them is the download limit on MEGA nowadays, I have always wanted to make dling my stiff as easy as possible, and I feel it isn’t fair to make people go through all kinds of passwords, popups and so on, I also detest all kind of limits. So, I have been here for soon 9 years, and I began uploading in 2013 I guess. It has been fun, I have got good feedback, but I feel I haven’t really made any impact. My links are being deleted and I am not sure how many of them are alive nowadays.

And I am not going to resume my uploads on some other forum, no, this is the final call for me. ALSO, I won’t translate anything, or search anyhthing by request anymore. I still check this place out now and then, but just as a regural user.
