software to see the bitrate of FLAC files?

I know you can check track by track with winamp or most softwares but if I wanted to check quickly whats the average bitrate of a FLAC folder is there any app or software that can do that for me? I have like 100 FLAC scores each in one folder that Id like to know quickly whats the average bitrate

MediaInfo is a nice tool for that.

but it can only check one file at a time, for what I gather

I need to check an entire folder with, lets say, 20 something files, so the software gives me the average bitrate of those 20 something files

Just load the folder in foobar. select all the files and then take a look at the file properties (right click, properties, look at the properties tab), it’ll show you the average bitrate of the selection.

If you have the properties tab on your foobar default layout, just select the files and look for the avg. bitrate line. you’ll have to work folder by folder though.

It’s something I’ve discovered by accident :laugh:

is there an add-on or any way for foobar to check if the files are damaged or have some kind of skipping (like programs like encspot do)? be it in mp3 or in flac format?

Not directly I don’t think, but I do recall some option you could check under preferences where it will verify the integrity of the file upon playing it.
