italian composers sometimes live under the massive shadow that morricone projects, and its a pity because there are so many brilliant names that get overlooked because of the monster thats Ennio. Dont get me wrong, I think Ennio is IMO, the best film composer of all time alongside Herrmann, and his influence over many other italian composers is very positive because his approach was mostly creative and following a less obvious formula than his hollywood counterparts, but when people name their favourite composers they usually pick just 1 italian name, and its always the same one, forgetting masters like Nascimbene, Lavagnino, Rota, and even perhaps interesting composers like Ortolani, Nicolai, Piccioni or Trovaioli. I’m not expert in Trovaioli (or Trovajoli) so Id love to read some of your opinions of him and recommendations, but after hearing Maciste L’uomo piu forte, I want to hear mroe from him. Profumo di donna was very enjoyable as well.

Thank you for this rare score by one of Italy’s greatest but, shamefully, least known composers in the U.S.

Many thanks miniaturo.
Out of interest you may like to visit the ARMANDO TROVAJOLI Superpost
http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/armando-trovajoli-superpost-171764/.
Whilst they have a lot of Armando there, you appear to have offered one that hasn’t been shared on that thread.
Again, many thanks for ‘Maciste, L’Uomo Pi Forte Del Mondo’. Appreciated.

thats a fantastic post or rather a superpost. I wasnt sure of the netiquette for these cases, should’ve I posted this on that thread?

anyway im really grateful of those superposts that offer so much great music from so many great italian composers

EDIT: reading that post I can see that I should’ve posted this in there, next time I will. Im a big fan of order and keeping things well organized and tidy

I apologise. I seem to have given the wrong impression. My comment with regards to pointing you to the ARMANDO TROVAJOLI Superpost was that I thought you may be able to gather more info on Trovajoli for youself. It has nothing to do with etiquette my friend, as although I may have 1,015 posts to my name they entirely (apart from about 13 contributions) consist of me giving ‘thankyou’s’ or ‘please can you give me’ posts, so I am the last one to offer advice on etiquette.
You have done your contribution in your own thread and that is to be applauded, and you deserve a well thanks for that.
You are doing just fine, my friend, and whilst my posts only imply quantity it is your contribution that is of quality.

oh yes, I didnt think anything bad of your comment, quite the opposite it was very polite and helpful, but I went on a sidetrack that didn’t stem from your post where I thought my post could’ve been better fitted in the other super thread. I’m very germanic in my ways so I always prefer to keep everything in just one place.

Thanks again for your comment, and thanking the uploaders (not that I count myself amongst them) is already doing something to help to the community so you’re doing your part.
