This will be the new topic and only this: Where is the Money Going, What Will be Our New Home?
Who cares about the other stuff, we can discuss that later, it’s low priority.
Would reduce chances of all new posts being irrelevant and banter (or copy/paste from previous thread).
The most ironic thing is, I am being as serious as I can be possibly be.
I really do want to know.
There are numerous "lifeboats’ out there. The Shit shooters liked it so much they never came back. Most are closed private blogs. Control issues are easier but you lose the diversity. Plus, Most of the biggest upload contributors have not spoken in these threads. If they stay put, shrine will remain as the premium download hub. There is no sinking here as far as I can see.
I’m not completely sure. Maybe she (Sarah) just chose a hoster with unnecessarily high prices because she didn’t know any better. Or maybe the hoster is intentionally ripping her off for one reason or another. I remember, in the other thread, her saying that she does put more than is necessary for the total amount needed to pay the hosting bill. I wonder what she does with the extra money… does she save it for next time or does she have fun with it (rhetorical question that only Sarah could answer even if it wasn’t a rhetorical question)?
i dont get it, the links are on hosting sites so why would the servers cost so much? if the downloads were stored on ff shrine without the need for hosters i could see why the servers are so high
Nobody knows. Sarah hasn’t disclosed any of that information, to anyone. Needless to say, a number of people are suspicious of this. And despite all the backpeddling, we’re stil waiting for an answer. Users who have raised such questions in the past have never received one and currently, we have not either. This suggests that we will never get one; so a number of users would rather move away from the potentially shady tactics here, if for no other reason than to not have the forums held for ransom once again. Sarah promises steps are being taken that this will not happen again, but that is just as questionable as why the bill is so high.
