REQ this album…
anyone have this?? thx. :)..
The only track I really wanted was the opening, and the preview album had it, but all of the rips floating around had the bass blown out on most of the tracks.
Same guys who ripped the preview soundtrack, thank god they didn’t butcher this one like they did the last.
Thanks for the share.
If anyone wants to know how bad the preview rip sounded, Takayuki Hattori Presents GUNDAM THE ORIGIN featuring yu-yu – HikarinoAkari OST (http://hikarinoakariost.info/takayuki-hattori-presents-gundam-the-origin-featuring-yu-yu-2gdfgd/)

This has APEv2 tags beside the ID3 tags. Neither iTunes, nor Tag&Rename, or MediaMonkey could see or remove the APE tags, that’s one annoying thing. E.g. the description field contains "hikarinoakariost.info @tsuba20", the other fields are filled with Japanese text. The other annoying thing is that VLC (on desktop and also on Android) for some reason prefers to use the data from the APE tag over the ID3 tag. Foobar could thankfully see and remove the APE tags.
Still, at least the bass wasn’t blown out. I wish the tracks weren’t so quiet but oh well, we’ll get FLACs/MP4s sooner or later.
Which tracks? I randomly checked four, and three of them were max amplitude, the fourth one was appropriately not maxed out.
First one seems a bit quiet, definitely more quiet than the other rip and most other things I have floating around my media player.
I’ve just checked the waveform, the first track is at maximum amplitude; it couldn’t be louder without overdriving speakers and causing some distortion.
It’s possible that the other things on your media player are victims of the loudness war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war).
