If the movie resembles this trailer, Miller may have raised the bar for action films, particularly of the vehicular variety.
Definintely looking forward to this one.

Thanks for the sample preview.
Considering Mel’s racist, anti-semitic screeds of late he certainly has the "Mad" part down pat.
Madder Max: Road to Nowhere
Maddest Max: Steel Wheelchair
Glad he’s staying home and skyping with Sean Hannity. Stay in your bubble, Mel. Stay in your bubble.

Jesus that was more intense than the Verdi/Requiem trailer!
It definitely looks an excellent addition to Miller’s vision.
"Immortal Joe" vs. Bane!
The MEGA link is for a preview to track 2 ”Escape”.
The movie looks absolutely batcrap crazy. And its rated "R". Finally, an action movie for grownups.
He was a great villain. Very demanding presence throughout that film.
Joe seems to be far, far worse.
Still doesn’t answer my question. It’s only track 2 while the other link directs you to the iTunes store. I thought this was the full OST, which it is not.
It answered directly.
It’s neither the full OST nor samples (plural).
It’s just the exclusive preview track.
The other link is to enctice people to buy it.
It’s not uncommon here for people to post links to iTunes or even say "go buy it to support the artist".
:erm: Shhhhhhhhhh! Don’t jinx it! 😡
That still looks like a request by proxy of statement.

Ive seen the movie….. its ok….. its one long Chase….. my least fav Max movie
That’s what I’m worried about. This MUST be Max’s movie. The recently released ‘Legacy’ trailer got me thinking on this. The footage from the previous movies highlighted the enigma surrounding Max, but when it cut to Fury Road, Theron was the focus, rather than Hardy’s Max.
The extracts which are proposed on Amazon or Itunes are really well.
I’m not going into this one looking for a big story. 3 had a real story and people bitched about it. I liked it a lot, personally, but nothing in the trailers for this new one has suggested any deep plot. Someone’s hording/controlling resources, someone tries to stand up to the bully, massive chase ensues. That’s pretty much it, right?
This kind of thing is just helping pave the road for actions films going the porn route. Back in the old days they always used to give porn films some kind of flimsy plot as a wrapper for the sex. Now it’s just sex. Eventually all our attention spans will be so short that we won’t give a shit WHY there’s a giant car chase, just that there IS a giant car chase. The studios will be able to save assloads of money because they can just cast the stunt drivers in acting rolls and not pay hollywood A-listers. Carnage porn! It’s a brave new world and it’s coming soon!
here is a mirror on mega (https://mega.co.nz/#!a8hSSAhb!PkmTo9BUZ301yICM5nWwcRnLOwDMuLfi9nMkTKH Lhao) because i freaking hate uploaded after my premium subscription run out 😉
It’s been years in the making and I’ve been waiting that long for it. That, and post-apocalyptic films have a special place in my heart.
this is Charlize Therons movie…..
I know it’s Mad Max, but I fucking love Charlize Theron and cannot wait to see how she is in this. Her look alone is awesome
This movie seems to have spectacular action scenes.
80% practical, 20% CGI!!! That’s how you make an action film.
Going to be disappointed!? It’s a giant chase movie. Crashes, explosions, etc… I expect nothing more. I’m certainly not looking for Bridge On The River Kwai. I like Charlize Theron as much as I like Tom Hardy, so that’s no sweat off my back either.
I feel the same way. I just want an awesome action-packed movie. I’m not looking for an amazing script and Oscar-worthy acting. I want car porn and a good score.
As regards Avengers, it doesn’t renew the kind of Super hero movie. It’s good but nothing more.
Mad Max seems to be given rhythm, violent, filled with action. I ask nothing more for this movie. Only to amuse. I saw the first ones Mad max, this one pleases me as far as trailers really tempt. (sorry for my english 🙂 )
But as far as Fury Road: I want blood, gore, flames, crashes, chases, weapons, fighting and spectacular cinematography. The trailers alone make it look worth it. My expectations are set extremely high, so I hope the films does not disappoint. If AoU is "just ok" and Fury Road is awesome, then I’ll be a happy man.
Taken from the trivia section on IMDb:
"Over 80% of the effects seen in the film are real practical effects, stunts, make-up and sets. CGI was used sparingly mainly to enhance the Namibian landscape, remove stunt rigging and for Charlize Theron’s left hand which in the film is a prosthetic arm"
We find in trailers this sheer madness (" What a lovely day " is very fascinating as hangs on). The choice of the actors is very good, I love Hardy, Theron. So I can only be impatient.
Then, I don’t get excited too much. In the past, we saw movies with very fascinating trailers, and in final, find itself with a pretty poor movie (Man Of Steel, also AOU).
We’ll see 🙂

I’m with DAKoftheOTA… the post is sure made to look like its the OST being shared here. Why include the entire intended tracklist, composer, length, publisher info… followed by a link to a single sample only? Seems like click-bait, but for no apparent gain.
Total click-bait, but apparently not everyone thinks like you or I do. At least I’m not alone.
But whatever, it’ll be here in a few weeks

Beyond Thunderdome tried going in a different direction than Road Warrior and wasn’t, IMO, entirely successful. But I give Miller credit for not making Road Warrior 2 which would have been the easy thing to do.
As for the first Mad Max, I admire what they did with no money. For me it’s one of the best films that get across the idea of humanity hanging on by its fingernails but still managing to function. All the while societal decay is greasing the ledge.
And to think George Miller started out as an ER doctor.
And damn Charlize looks fierce. Apparently she is the driving force, pun intended, of the film. It looks like Miller flipped the script and instead of the hero saving the damsels, the heroine saves them and Max is along for the ride. Yes, pun intended.
That may be a holdover from when Miller planned to make a essentially a two part Max film with Mel’s Max in the first half and then Furiosa becoming the "new Mad Max" in the second half. (Of course, then Miller had Terry Gilliam style bad luck and it took years to get the picture back on track. (Another pun. Christ, can’t help myself. Easter Punny came late this year.)
With Hardy signing on for three more Max films be interested to see if Theron is a one off character or will she be back? May 15th can’t get here soon enough.
Too bad about the upcoming score. Being Miller who always had great scores on his films, you think he would’ve inspired Junkie XL to write something classic and not another 300/Man Of Steel ripoff (of course, it’s what the previews are showing).
Yes, that’s exactly what I meant to say about the cinematography. I’m drooling over it.
May 15th can’t get here soon enough.
16 days 😀
Hollywood has been, is and always will be about the profits. If a good movie gets made in the process of pursuing profits, that’s an accident. A happy accident.
She’s an Academy Award-winning actress. I’m sure that at least she was able to make it look convincing. If there’s any truth to this. I "heard" that Led – Zeppelin is reuniting :p

Yeah it sound really really great ! 🙂 and also perfect for this film 🙂
Shit music along the lines of 300* and some scenes feel way too much like a video game. I dunno. (*Yeah, it’s "modern", I know. Fuck Hans Zimmer.)
The Road Warrior most certainly achieved more with less in this regard. And it’s clearly the role model for Fury Road. (And not Beyond Thunderdome.) Yeah, Fury Road looks nice. Yadda yadda. Ever since Lucas and his prequels we all know that cinematography can be "fixed" in post production. Anyone seen John Carter Of Mars? Yeah, that looked nice too…
Besides, where the hell do the characters get all the guns, ammo & explosives to waste like crazy? What was so nice about Road Warrior was the UTTER lack of things that go boom! It made the film more believable* and more gritty. (* Well, except for using vehicles with massive fuel consumption.) Each bullet was precious and had to count. Hell, even Humongous himself had only a couple of rounds for his magnum! And each use of a gun was celebrated in the movie. You knew there weren’t many around these days.
But, yeah, this one is a summer movie from the US and no longer Aussie fare. So it has to be loud and bombastic and stupid. How did someone put it? "It was such a fucking expensive production that everybody on the set had a say of how it’s supposed to be!"
So, maybe better get drunk before and then have a ball?

This is the snobbiest post I’ve read in a while.
Riddle me this: what makes Fury Road an American film?
Of course, perhaps I’m being unkind. Patcher might have been too busy tweeting to pay attention to the film. (You know, those big moving pictures on a giant screen.)
Look away, Patcher from the little screen. That social media mirror you hold in your hand is a trap, its reflection will ensnare you, like Narcissus.
Just know, this isn’t Twitter. You want to employ the snark in these-here-parts, you need to hitch up your pants and sing like the Duke. (But not like Clint in Paint Your Wagon because that was just bad, like Shatner-bad.)
We’re professionals at the snark, so don’t try this at home or without adult supervision.
And I leave you with a making of Mad Max: Fury Road featurette, because you can never have too much car-explodo-porn.

Thank you!
OK. To stay on topic… In the very end this is always about the score. Nothing else. And this new age "ambience meets heavy metal"-music cannot hold a candle to Brian May (not of Queen).
Prove me otherwise!
Watch "Dust Devil", Killgrave, if you want to see something original – not only produced IN Africa but also directed by a real African. And not only to save money…

"Riddle me this: what makes Fury Road an American film?"
You can answer the question yourself. Well, at least you have the avatar picture.
What made the Transformers-movies so much more worse than the animated series? And who produced them? Now, would this be considered "European" if it had been directed by Roland Emmerich and filmed in Bulgaria?
The good news: he’s under contract to write and direct a new version of The Island of Doctor Moreau.
Sorry to move off topic here…. What’s your opinion on 300: Rise of An Empire?
I haven’t seen the movie or heard the score. It just dipped under my radar I guess.
According to Zimmer, he himself states that Junkie’s score to "Mad Max Fury Roar" is mind blowing, which is what I’m hoping for. 🙂
The movie is adequate, but like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, it was an unnecessary sequel. IMO. The music was better than the movie but it was also exactly what you would expect in support of such a film: loud with drums. Lots and lots of drums. No surprises.
Definitely looking forward to the score being released… or leaked.
Not a fan of Zimmer, so his stamp of approval worries me. Not that I was expecting much from Junkie XL, to be honest.

Look on the bright side: at least he didn’t ask for someone to come to his house, download the music for him and then drag and drop it to his favorite audio player. And who knows, he might have such a high end audio system that he can discern the minute differences between FLAC and 320 MP3. Ears like a barnyard owl, that one.
