*For those of you who are new to this complete score, and not just upgrading to flac, be aware that for some unknown reason Track 02 contains faint SFX in the background. This was how the track was on the disc it was ripped from. As a cue, "Here’s Manny" is not present in the score sheets, which explains the lack of any slate numbers for it. Because this cue was not on the commercial release, this is the only version we have. The SFX is only faint, and I have gotten so used to it that I barely notice it. The rest of this score is completely clean.
This is the legit complete score, NOT a DVD rip.
Also included in the archive is Skelly’s recent rip of the actual film version of the End Credits cue, which has the correct opening and is far better sound-wise, even though it’s 320.

Yes, you’re hearing is fully intact. I kept looking around on my computer to see if some unseen window to some website was open. After searching for a couple minutes, I realized that it was buried and coming from the background of the music playing.
You clearly haven’t listened to this one enough. Take your time, and I think you’ll find yourself in love with it before long. 😉

Is it my idea, or is there dialogue on a few cues..? (for example 02 – Here’s Manny)
There is only faint FX in the background on Track 02. That is the only track with FX. Don’t ask me why, because I have no idea. That cue is also absent from the score sheets, which is why it doesn’t have a slate number here.

Yep
So actually, no. There is only faint FX in the background on one track.

Thank you very much for the lossless version, btw. great cover work! 🙂
You’re very welcome, and thanks for the compliment! 🙂
I think someone needs to settle down and take a chill pill. OP says that track 2 is the only track with SFX. So get over it. 1 track out of 34. Way to be greatful.
Excuse me? SFX in many tracks? Next time, make sure to listen to more than 2 tracks before making completely worthless statements like that. And the reason I forgot to mention track 2 is because it is so insignificant, and I have become so used to it that I barely notice it any more.

You’re correct – Forza’s hearing is indeed fully intact. Yours, on the other hand…

Sorry to diverge a little here, but is it just me or is there no other Ice Age (film and series) posting on the Shrine?
The sessions for The Meltdown and Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Continental Drift’s FYC have been shared here before. DrHouse posted the IA3 sessions not that long ago. But because the official releases are Varese, the links aren’t really supposed to be posted directly here.
Oh yeah, I always forget that VS thing. But there isn’t a single thread about any of the movies, even on PM. I found the others from other places ;). Anyway, thanks for this. Just put a disclaimer about the tiny (and frankly, almost negligible) SFX thing in the first post so that this doesn’t happen on every subsequent page.
Because it’s so discrete, I wouldn’t even bother. That, and the fact that score bucktooth overreacted :p
Here you go:
There was no over reaction. Apparently some people don’t mind having dialogue and SFX plastered over their music. I, for one, don’t. I also don’t feel that it’s inappropriate for one to make just a little effort and mention that there is noise, other then music, contained on the tracks. That is something that I’m certain that most others on here would agree with.
It was indeed a huge overreaction. You said this upload was "completely worthless with all the dialogue and SFX on many tracks." First of all, if this is completely worthless, feel free to go back to the 13 track commercial release, which is missing near-on half an hour of unreleased material that can only be found on this complete score. Secondly, how many times do I have to tell you? There is just ONE track with faint sfx in the background. That was how it was on the disc, so there’s nothing anyone can do about it. There is no other version of this cue out there, so in my opinion it’s better than nothing.
If you’re not happy with this, please leave.

Come on, it’s just one tiny track, the rest is completely fine. You are indeed exagerating and throwing away a upload just because one SFX-d track. It doesn’t mean at all that the disc comes from a rip of the movie, that’s just how it was in the disc the OP found it in.
By the way, Sulley that’s funny I never tried Google for actually searching stuff in FFshrine, I’ve always used the FFSHRINE search. Should I start using Google? Is it much better?
Thanks for your support, Ponyo. And yes, Google searching the shrine is far more effective. 🙂
I was searching with the internal engine too and got no results for ‘ice age’ either searching in title or in posts. I tried Google too but maybe I messed up the syntax, coz I just got this thread.
Copy into Google what you see I’ve written in the screencaps I posted.
You’re most welcome.
Not just a few cues, this one has years floating around in the web i got it in the original bitrate. This is a dvd rip the person who did it combined the commercial release with the dvd rip, so it has dialogue, SFX, noises, you name it.
Absolute rubbish. You, sir, have no idea what you’re talking about. Did you not read what I said in my original post? Next time, why don’t you download and listen to something before jumping to conclusions?
Oh, and if you have a version "full of dialogue, SFX, noises (which count as SFX if I’ve got my definitions right), and you-name-it (whatever that might be)", then feel free to upgrade to this legit, clean version of the complete score any time.
(Gee, I’m seriously beginning to regret sharing this.)
And please ignore the idiots who inevitably come out of the woodwork whenever someone is kind enough to share – you give them too much by responding to them. They’re not worthy. I mean the one idiot didn’t even read your original post. If they can’t manage even that much then they clearly operate from a position of little to no knowledge.

Btw, I really like the simplicity of the cover art you made. Nicely done.
I sure don’t. Look at all the DVD audio rips I’ve done in my sig. They can only bother you if you let them.
(Gee, I’m seriously beginning to regret sharing this.)
There are a lot of yogurt brains and buttheads on this forum, unfortunately, and they love to whine. Don’t let ’em get to ya’. 🙂
For me, a bright animated movie!!! 🙂
As much as I like to share stuff, I really don’t want nor like my inbox flooded with requests.. too much work every single day. Should I still try the share? Is it worth it?
But the reason I was gonna comment here is because in that post I was gonna put your Ice Age Complete Score upload on it, either re-reuploading (to have a mirror) or to link to this post.
I have been thinking of doing a thread just like that. But do we even have all the Ice Age scores in lossless? I don’t think anyone has the IA2 or 3 sessions in lossless, or even the IA4 FYC (although that’s more likely).
And whenever you make a thread with banned links, and you don’t want your inbox flooded with PM’s, just ask for people to make requests in the thread.
If I have to send everyone links for John Wick (in 2 [two] formats, no less) then you can handle links for a definitive Ice Age, which I think people will appreciate. Myself included.
Also, instead of converting everything down to mp3 so that it’s all the same, why not just upload the stuff you have in the highest quality (whatever that might be)? Others can convert down if they want to. Otherwise you’ll just get people asking for flac (we all know who). So if you say in the thread that everything is the highest quality available (weather that’s MP3 or flac), those who can read should be satisfied.
To match the flac, yeah. But no worries. Skelly’s rip is doing the job nicely for now. 🙂
