This one brings back memories,as I haven’t seen this one since I was a freshman in college in 1971.
Thank you very much for posting this.
I have the same exact feelings…it was definitely one of my most wanted, but I never thought we’d ever get it.

Hey, this is for free. At least say "thanks", before complaining. Besides, just look on the back cover, where the numbers are presented, and take the time to add the numbers to the files, as I did. Took me 3 minutes…
@darkknight1978: Thanks for this share, much appreciated! 🙂

Since you have it, can you re-up it? Every time I click download, it takes me back to the main search page. I registered an account but my credentials aren’t valid even after confirming my email so it would be much much easier if you re-upped. Thanks a bunch!
Got it. Thanks!
Had the chance to listen to the whole thing and wow, it’s pretty awesome. Not bad at all for a 40 year old TV movie score.
Can anyone be kind enough to post a good link?
Thanks! 🙂

THE CAR (2015)
Intense action 1977 score by Leonard Rosenman for demon auto thriller gets first-ever release on CD! Existential horror tale directed by Elliot Silverstein, with James Brolin, Ronny Cox, offers frightening attacks by automobile run amok in small town. Where did it come from? Why is it here? Little time for questions as sheriff and deputy struggle to protect citizens. Rosenman anchors with powerhouse statements of medieval "Dies Irae" melody, for tuba, trombone. Low brass play major role in score throughout with virtuoso trumpets getting the spotlight in tour de force chase sequences. Woodwinds have their say as well. Action remains keynote, so rhythmic vitality stays front and center. Interestingly, Rosenman offers trademark atonal material to suggest arid desert landscape but imbues action cues with strong tonal flavor, often with major triads in trumpets leading the way. Striking approach! Intrada CD presents entire score from original 35mm three-channel stereo scoring session elements transferred to 1/2" tape by Universal and vaulted in pristine condition. Extras include three unused versions of climactic "Apparition" cue plus Universal promo spots. CD also offers composer’s intense attack overlay cue for school band parade sequence both with, without interrupted Sousa march. Trivia for film music buffs: Young hitchhiker in film, seen playing "William Tell" on French horn while thumbing rides, is composer John Rubinstein (Robert Redford’s Jeremiah Johnson, Redford’s The Candidate). His brief horn "performance" is also included as an extra on CD. Liner notes by Jeff Bond plus dramatic design by Joe Sikoryak completes dramatic package. Leonard Rosenman conducts. Intrada Special Collection CD available while quantities and interest remain!

THE CAR (2015)
I second this, that score is another fine example of great scoring for an arguably more or less forgettable, typical 70ies horror flick (which nevertheless is fun to watch, starring a then very popular James Brolin of "Dr. Welby, M.D." fame, also known from genre movie "Westworld", starring opposite Yul Brunner as the gunman robot).
After hearing some samples on the intrada homepage, this absolutely is a must-have!
thanks for your effort to re-up this!
Well – as I can say – I could count on You anyway!
BUT!:never forget our dear colleague "darkknight1978" for sharing and being sooo tolerant!!!

You’re absolutely right, szucsy, I added credits to darkknight1978 to my mirror. (I thanked him before, see message #51! 🙂 )
As for flac, I ordered this as soon as it was announced, as I’ve been waiting for this for +40 years. But when I saw your posting, I couldn’t wait another minute. Honestly, I don’t know of I’ll be able to hear a difference. The sound quality of your upload is stunning. What was totally unexpected is the stereo separation. You get different weird and bizarre stuff coming at you from both sides. Love it! But at least I’ll have a permanent copy (if you’ve been waiting for something for more than 40 years, a "permanent" copy may be something more theoretical now than practical) and some shiny and probably uninspired liner notes. Sorry I didn’t comment sooner but I’ve been too busy listening.
Soundtrekker, don’t know what the story behind the reupload is, but as always, you’re a scholar and a gentleman, sir.
Thanks, all!
Thanks for mirroring the link so others can enjoy it though, guys.
