This looks interesting. Thanks for the share.
BTW, the young lady, who is the film’s protagonist, also starred in the movie The Guest – I highly recommend watching it – which had, like this film, a synth score.
Much appreciate the link, my friend!!! 🙂
I don’t saw the movie, but I’ll listen!!!
One of my favorite tracks has to be "Jay". With its 8-bit lead melody it transferred me back when Nintendo was part of my life, and somehow managed to use 8-bit to create an emotional mood I haven’t felt….since I rocked the Nintendo!
By the way, for those of you who like tracks like "Jay", you should check out a group called Boards of Canada. Those guys really know how to make 70s and 80s nostalgia in music form.
I just saw the movie, and it was entertaining.
I kinda got the same vibe as when I saw Donnie Darko; an unlogical movie (yet, still feels relateable) dealing with certain themes like adolescent love, the beginning of adulthood, fear of dying and much more. Also, "Under the Skin" with Scarlett Johansson comes to mind..
Also, the mood in the movie, along with the really great score, felt like the 80s, but still wasn’t.
Like, when Yara reads something on her cell phone/electronic device formed as a shell in the livingroom – that moment really felt like the 80s in another dimension. But it kinda makes sense as I read on Wiki that both David R.Mitchell (director of this movie) and Richard Kelly (director of Donnie) were born in the 70s
And yeah, I’m getting this score on vinyl when it’s available 😀

Thanks DAK!
Thanks for sharing, Dakota! 🙂
Seriously? I wish I could say the same. Imo As Above, So Below was a better horror film.
loved the 80s vibe, the references, the mood, but particularly I find themes that are based on our most primal fears the scariest and most effective
but horror is a highly subjective genre. I liked As above, so below for the record
This movie did not deserve it’s soundtrack.
