And the first person saw what the second one did and said "What the hell. I’m gonna share some of his stuff so people can leak it". POTC4, Sleepy Hollow, are some of these. Now, the other ones, came from both sources, just people who are taking vantage to leak stuff while it looks okay to do it. The second person actually said he had a longer version of Deathly Hallows Part 2, but it was fake.

The last big leaks happened 9 months ago, everything went quiet on tradings, but all of the sudden 30 new sessions came along, so it’s not a huge problem.

Yeah, but dude… two Harry Potters, Lone Ranger, Man of Steel, Mission Impossible 4, The Wolverine, Pirates 4, Sucker Punch… all high-profile stuff (well… maybe not that last one) leaking within HOURS of each other. Tell me with a straight face that that won’t totally damage things behind the scenes for a whole lotta months.

This is very exciting and cool and all, but there needs to be a limit somewhere. And at this point we may have exceeded that limit.

And inevitably it will bring some unwanted attention here too.

And how about Clash of the Titans while you’re at it? LOL

EDIT: I was wrong. They appear to be in order, but the first track mislead me.

MI4 was old, it came in 2013, same with The Wolverine. Hooper’s were around, but only the big guys had it until last month where it started to spread. Same with Man Of Steel. POTC4 came along with Lone Ranger, and it was passed to almost everyone. Of course, it gets suspicious to leak all these stuff in just one day. But coming these from these two people, who must have a LOOOOT of sessions, they’re just breadcrumbs.

Me neither, because in the last few days everyone threw subtlety out the window, and with so many things coming up, everyone was cheering and getting excited for what’s to come. But now that the dust has settled… the reality is grim.

I have no connection at all to the behind-the-scenes trading that goes on around here, but am I right in assuming that: isn’t it quality over quantity? Aren’t the most popular scores from the most popular films going to be the ones most desirable by the public, and therefore most valuable to traders?

No one would care if the recording sessions to Foodfight (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foodfight!)were leaked, but it’s a pretty bigass deal when a lot of high-profile films – like Harry Potter – become available either publicly or privately, right?

So therefore, all this bigger stuff like HP and PotC might hurt the trading circles for a while, right? At least for the lower-profile guys?

There’s nothing free, even here, there are consequences resulting from a butterfly effect of impressive stupidity =)

HP only damages Warner and it serves them right for not releasing the complete scores in first place. All the other POTC sessions were posted and there was no damage. I would care more about MOS being leaked, since it’s the one that started this domino effect. And the difference with the other leaks is that the sources are the ones who’s leaking them.

Supposedly the leaking of HP1 prevented the others to be spreaded. But now we have them all, except 3. The leaks of HP4, 7 and 8 was going to prevent for 5 and 6 to get leaked. But now we have them.

That didn’t prevent them to spread Godzilla, which it was much more recent than all the HP scores. And especially rare, when Desplat’s stuff rarely comes to the light.

It damages them because they could make a huge profit with the sessions by selling them to the fans of the franchise instead of milking with the rereleases of the movies, and now with the upcoming Fantastic Beasts trilogy (at least we’re getting Desplat again, since Yates hired him to score Tarzan).

I’d say it’s a missing track, but I wonder why that is. Even if there was a scene that got cut between those corresponding bits, there’s no reason to remove that track from the sessions as well, specially when many cues contain unused material.

I just want to say thanks so much for sharing this. I didn’t give the FYC much of a listen because it was missing so much music and I wasn’t sure how to integrate the suites from the score album. So now that the sessions are out, hopefully it’ll sound a lot better and be less of a mess to listen to.

I created it from the Iron Man 3 track (it has a very similar beginning with the "BWAAAAM" Inceptiony sound). The rest is unchanged … the encoding chain is of course less than optimal (320k mp3 -> 320k mp3), so I *could* post a flac version to prevent further loss if anybody’s interested, but I think it sounds fine for now. I will update it if the lossless version ever leaks.

Edit: Updated the mp3 – with some mp3directcut magic only the beginning has been re-encoded, the rest is the same as before.
