Blade Runner (recording sessions)

Hey people,

I’m a bit surprised that they’re being held back for such a long time. Do they still have such a great value in the trader circles?
I figured everyone who’s really interested might have them by now, no? So why hold on to them…?
Can anybody here provide some insights as to why that is?

I think so. Someone who’s part of the trader’s circle posted a .rar file over at Hans Zimmer a while back, which included screenshots of his mp3 library.
Blade Runenr was part of it. Also among them were a bunch of recording sessions that have leaked since then. So they were genuine.
I’m assuming the same goes for this one…

Is there any way to convince them to share, or sell?

Like I said,I don’t really understand why something that’s circulating for such a long time is still being kept under wraps.
But judging from the fact that it is, I don’t think we’ll see it surface anytime soon.

Well that is a shame, but hope springs eternal so maybe someday.

That cue sheet popped up as a screenshot before (on the BR Soundtracks Ultimate Thread, IIRC), and I debunked it on the basis that the track times were way off, plus the slates did not match up with the cue names on the BMI repertoire.

The only thing close to ‘recording sessions’ lurking somewhere are the "Nemo Studios Master Sessions" (which popped up on a trading site before it was taken down), or the Redbook CDs used by Charles de Lauzirika’s production team for the Final Cut.

I think you’re mistaken. The wrong track times were due to windows reading the files wrong and the BMI cues aren’t official names either.
Plus the fact that the guy who posted this had A LOT of recording sessions, many of whom have leaked since then and they had the exact content as his screenshots.
I do believe this one is real indeed 🙂

on page 1 the guy shared the screens via megaupload. unfortunately that’s gone obvioulsy and I can’t find his zip file anymore. might be able to dig t up somewhere…

They are officially registered under the performing rights organization, and each cue has a work ID. That is how I was able to find all of the cue names for Michael Kamen’s Brazil, for example.

I’m not saying these sessions don’t exist, but surely not as the list that was posted at HZ.com.

Yea, once you search for the artist (in this case Vangelis), you will get an alphabetical listing of all the cues that he/she has ever composed, across various projects.

No slates; the repertoire lists every track he composed and registered with the BMI, not every score. In the case of Heat, someone gave me the cue names from the sheet music.
