I will say this, the "aldnoah0rch" tracks absolutely destroy the first OST. I think something jarred Hiroyuki Sawano out of his creative doldrums because this OST, at least for the first five tracks, seems to be a significant improvement. This was more along the lines of what I was hoping for from him since the first season.
