!!!!! (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/–105823) has made a soundtrack (Thread 119192) called Sonic Advance & Battle Music Collection [Remastered] (Thread 175660).

Unfortunately, the remastered music sounds really weird and terrible. If anyone can be able to make a version of this soundtrack that doesn’t have any remastered music and has the standard music you hear from the games, I REALLY appreciate it because it’s hard to find music for the Sonic Advance games.

Weren’t they ripped with gbamusriper? Just grab that tool, rip the soundtrack from rom (It’s piss easy to do, now that the tool is no longer in java or whatever it was in before) and play it back in foobar with BASSMIDI and Midi Synthesizer Host for Foobar. THat’s what I do.
And if that’s too hard/you’re still not satisfired with the sound… just like, grab the old gsf sets of the games. Listen to that and convert at your leisure to whatever format.
Sometimes there’s no need to wait for someone to upload stuff for you, when you can grab it yourself quicker. Plus you might use all this info (if you choose to) sometime later.
Cheers.

Oooooh! I get what you’re saying now, it’s not that it sounds weird (which is true) but it’s because !!!!! used different instruments and samples, so he kind of, sort of failed at improving it and made the final product much worse- follow Kharaxel’s advice and download foobar and bassmidi https://kode54.net/bassmididrv/bassmididrv.exe (for bassmidi) and foobar which is right there in the internet, if you already have foobar great, I didn’t explain this very well but download the file below and you’ll get the hang of it, If you any problems with this then tell me.

First, install foobar, you have it already? Good, then install foo_midi http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_midi It’ll give you a prompt if you want to install that plug-in, then install it.

After that, install BASSMIDI, after that’s all done, extract the archive below, when you do that, go to foobar > Library > Configure > Input, then go all the way down to MIDI Synthesizer Host and click on the BASSMIDI section next to where it says "Soundfont:" find any SF2 you want and click it, then drag the midis to foobar and play then, mix and match a little- or just use it’s designated sound-font, It’s an excellent time-sink.

here, it’s some SF2+MIDI’s https://mega.co.nz/#!OdNQUK4b!t8ugH5FGcaACtF0wDjcWYZ_OeedP5auGRqhCZks WR3M

have a sample for one song.

I already have some games ripped in that archive.

If you don’t want to do these incredibly easy things for some reason I can upload my own crappy copy.

I rushed this tutorial so hard, forgive me.

Wait, Film and Television? This is like my aunt’s wedding all over again, I kept wandering around and ended up in some asian place- food was good though, and it was free!!!

To be honest, I think it would be best if you made a version of the collection that has standard rips for the .gbs files (like it sounds like it comes from the original GBA).

Also, would it be possible to make a version of this cover art () that didn’t have the "Remastered Version" logo on it? And maybe add Sonic Pinball Party to the mix with a cover art that has that too.

oh, that’s tough.

I suck at Photoshop, you’re better off asking seary for that.

Also sonicrings4 has the .gsf rips of the GBA Sanic games, I’ll look for them and link you to his post (why would you want that!? Are you mad!?)

To be honest, Sonic Advance 1-3 & Battle didn’t bother me with sound quality. And to me, I rather take stand GBA music that enhanced music that makes the instruments sound weird and out of tune. Basically for me, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
