REBECCA – The Musicals (by Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay; German Version, mp3)

Rebecca is a musical by Sylvester Levay (music) and Michael Kunze (text) based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier�s "Rebecca" and Hitchcock�s movie from the 1940 with Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier . The premiere took place on 28 September 2006 at the Raimund Theater in Vienna. From December 2011 to January 2013, the musical was first performed in Germany at the Palladium Theater Stuttgart. In future, there will also be featured on Broadway. The contracts were signed on September 6, 2008, the day of resumption in Vienna, on the stage. A planned for fall 2012 Broadway premiere was postponed after a scandal so as not existing investors indefinitely. (Wikipedia)

And that�s the plot (Attention: SPOILER) :
In Monte Carlo the rich Englishman Maxim de Winter learns the young woman "I" known who works there for the American Mrs. Van Hopper. He marries her and takes her to his estate of Manderley. Once there, you have "I" a long battle against the spirit of Maxim’s deceased first wife Rebecca lead. This is in the minds of the people of Manderley, especially among the housekeeper Mrs. Danvers, yet omnipresent. Mrs. Danvers does not make it easy for the new wife of her Lord. At the grand costume ball Manderley she advises her to a dress that was worn last year by Rebecca. When the new mistress of the house appears in front the assembled company, Maxim is deeply shaken. The next day, suddenly a boat and a dead body is found. It turns out that it is Rebecca. But Maxim had months earlier identified another body as his wife…
