We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect, to nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this: Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most… human.
…the voyage home would be to recommend as well.
not to forget, he starred in mission impossible.
I never saw the reboot films, but if I do it’ll only be to see the one true Spock again.
The only movies I saw in theaters were the ones from The Undiscovered Country onward.
It never really struck me to rent any of the movies on VHS, DVD or BD.
Buying them were even less thought out.
Ever since so many reviews about how some releases on BD were made, I’m still trying to search for the better transfers.
I think CEE transfers are favored.
The same goes for TOS. I heard it was remastered with new CGI effects and now in widescreen (for the special effects).
I’ve yet to read a lot of reviews about what’s the better version to watch.
I’ll probably end up watching (and liking) the new remasters with new CGI effects.
Would be nice to watch both verisons though, first DVD release that’s more true to the original broadcasting.
I remember staying late on days where I had no plans for the next day and channel surfing just to find an episode of TOS.
Time to re-watch Wrath of Khan. because Spock has his brightest moment in it.
I should probably invest in I, III and IV.
I never got into Star Trek, I had no interest. My Dad was all into it and I think that’s what kinda turned me away from it. I knew him as the enigmatic Dr. William Bell (which was award-worthy) from my favorite TV show of all time (nothing has compared yet), Fringe.
He lived long and prospered. Set phasers to feel
Speaking of, Jablonsky posted this on his facbeook not too long ago…
There are many people who would not be doing what they do, would not be creating the things they create, if not for the work of this man.
It was an honor and a highlight of my career to write this theme for your character, Sentinel Prime.
RIP Leonard Nimoy.
Omg, he was also in the really good remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) as Dr. David Kibner.
Bought the bluray for Halloween last year.
really good remake. Loved it. Nimoy had a small role in it though.
The ending…
🙁 Broke my heart.
So aweful. Truly horrific.
Seeing Donald Sutherland turn like that… jesus.

busy multitasking lol.
playing World of Warcraft, remuxing blurays, converting to DVD, finishing some cans I found in the mini-fridge, scanning music for ReplayGain values.
I hope they took all his voice work for KHIII before he died. I don’t think Master Xehanort’s battle quotes and grunts will be any different…they can just take those from Birth By Sleep…if we even fought him directly (not Terra-Xehanort) at all in that game.
If they do have flashbacks with him in the games after KHIII it’s not gonna be the same.

He was also Megatron (for a few minutes) and Galvatron (for the rest of the movie) in 1986.
