I beg to differ, especially as a huge fan and tireless collector of military music (mostly marches from around the world). "Grey" is a wannabe erotica, written by one underappreciated housewife for other underappreciated housewives (at least in my humble opinion), while military music is the purest expression of the music itself. You know, like the opera.

You’re right. It was an unfair comparison. I should have said 50 Shades of Gray is to erotic fiction what Ikea assembly instructions are to erotic fiction. I tried reading the first book and it makes the Twilight books look well written. There’s far better erotic fiction but 50 Shades apparently scratched some itch or spanked some itch amongst the general public.
And with a projected $60 million opening this franchise looks to be as idiot proof as the Twilight trilogy.
