Anyways… It’s funny I found this post. I’ve been looking for the "Skyfall" FYC promo CD from Adele. Someone is going to send me the MP3 of the abridged film version of the song from the FYC CD, though. I’ll post once I get it if I remember. I’m Adele’s biggest fan and have been DYING to get that CD for the longest time. I lost out in a bid on it the other night because my Internet crashed. But anyways… Yeah, the FYC CD has the abridged film version (the only audio recording of the film version available). You could get it from the DVD, but the sound of Bond’s body hitting the water is heard with the opening of the song and it doesn’t sound as good on your iPod or anything. But yeah, I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for this CD. Good luck finding it. But I can send you the MP3 once I get it!

Lossless is CD quality, unless of course the FYC CD is a CD-r and is lossy sourced.

How do you know the FYC version is the film version? Is that an assumption on your part, or do you actually know that it is the film version? And if you do, can I ask how you know this? Just curious.

I’m Adele’s biggest fan, so I know. 🙂 The length of the original track is 4:46, and the length of the version in the film is around 3:54, which is the length of the track on the FYC. Not to mention it was the film version performed at the Oscars, and obviously that version was featured in the film, so… It’s no surprise they used that one. I should have the MP3 in the next day or so if the guy gets back to me on it.

I think this single had an HDTracks version out there.

I got the bluray, and I think I ripped the audio somewhere but never edited it.

I was thinking of just leaving the opening titles as-is (with sfx) since it’s too mixed in with all the sfx.

I had the opening scene, the opening titles, another scene of the movie and then the end credits all ripped and already converted to WAV somewhere.
