When I made Deus Ex OSV & Remixes (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/deus-ex-original-sound-version-remixes-[flac-182615) I’d intended to turn it into a Deus Ex series ultimate soundtrack with all the songs from all the games on it. That may have been a tad overambitious, but the end product of that ambition is these two albums. Will I ever do Invisible War, The Conspiracy, or The Fall? Maybe someday, but they’re not too high on my priorities. (BTW, if anyone wants to make a DX2 rip, say so in the thread or PM me, since I have all the files.)
On to the thank yous. The first people I need to mention are Gibbed (http://blog.gib.me/), Luigi Auriemma (http://aluigi.altervista.org/), snakemeat (http://sourceforge.net/u/snakemeat/profile/), and all the other people who made the tools I used in ripping this game. Thanks to OrangeC (Thread 94529) and SavagE (Thread 124804) on this forum, for their rips of this game. I used them for reference, and may have stolen a track name or two. Thanks to DeusEx4Ever (https://www.youtube.com/user/DeusEx4Ever) and MrChowderClam (https://www.youtube.com/user/MrChowderClam) for their Human Revolution YouTube videos. Michael McCann (http://www.behaviormusic.com/), everyone at Eidos Monteal (http://www.eidosmontreal.com/), you the downloaders, and the other obvious people also have my gratitude.
As with the DX1 OSVR, I couldn’t find all the tracks I wanted to include in lossless quality, so even in the FLAC version there are some MP3s on the last two discs. That said, the game itself doesn’t store its music in lossless quality, so the fact I’ve encoded it in FLAC is a bit misleading.
The in-game tracks are each single-looped, so they play all the way through once, then fade for 10 seconds just after they loop. When a track has multiple layers (most do) the first layer plays, with the second layer fading in just before it loops. Then the second layer plays through once, and so on with the third layer, if there is one. It fades out after the final layer gets a chance to play all the way through. The cutscenes have sound effects (though, thankfully not dialogue), which were removed whenever I had a clean version of the track.
Unlike the DX1 OSVR, this album isn’t meant to replace the OST. Every song is represented here, but the soundtrack versions are mostly too different for me to consider mine replacements.
My next project (at least my next gamerip project) will be fixing Super Metroid: Sound in Action. If you’ve heard it, you know what I’m talking about. Look forward to it.

Either both files are corrupted or the password does not work.
Please note
I tried to open the mp3 archive with WinRAR and I couldn’t extract it. However, it seems to work fine with 7zip – just make sure you enter the password all lowercase!

WITHOUT a capital "m" 🙂
Listening to bits and bobs, like the remixed versions of Liberty Island Death and UNATCO Ambient…
Have to say, this is the be-all end-all soundtrack unless someone manages to get all the cutscene music SFX-free…
EDIT:
Did you intentionally leave out the track "First And Last"? That was one of my favourites from the original soundtrack 🙂 I also wanted to know if it actually played in-game since I don’t remember hearing it in the game.
Technically, there are a few cutscenes I left out, which either have no music, or just excerpts from other tracks. I don’t think it matters, but full disclosure.
As for The Fall, I have the files for it (from this (Thread 170530) thread) and Invisible War, and I could easily get the files for The Conspiracy (if anyone actually cares). Right now, I’m holding off on arranging them, but I might get around to it eventually.
Also, the password is:

I wrote the password wrong? Derp. Fixed now.

First and Last is a mix of The Tyrants and Zhao Fight. There were a few tracks like this I was thinking of including to fill out disc 7, but ultimately I narrowed it down to Icarus, since it would be blasphemy to have a DXHR soundtrack without it, and Return to Hengsha, which actually isn’t in the game. If there’s demand, I could release an updated disc 7 with a few more tracks.

Awesome, if you decide to update Disc 7, update this thread. I should listen more closely to the Tyrants Attack and Zhao Boss Fight…
Sure, I do not have ALL the cutscenes, but I cut out those which had too many sfx and/or were not really that good. Also I omitted a track or two from panchea as they are boring drones standing in opposite to the awesomeness of the rest. But hey, to each their own – I created my soundtrack for fluid listening experience, I layered the tracks together. If someone wants to listen to them in bits and pieces then this is the way to go I suppose!
May I ask for a solitary remix upload?
The tracklist is up now. Though for a couple of these tracks, I’m not sure it’ll do any good without the artist.

Sure thing. Here you go (https://mega.co.nz/#!6kMSzTjC!KqUj5prKMMHLw2UMQJhrhdjHZZEPieS1cRCjq8g G6po). It’s the MP3 version, but seeing as only one of the remixes was FLAC originally anyway, I suppose it doesn’t matter much.

big thanks for the tracklist 😉
I didn’t even realize that was in the game until I read your post and checked it out for myself. It’s not in the same place as UNATCO or the other radio songs, for sure. It’s probably mixed in with the sound effects somewhere. In any case, I doubt it’s longer than the few seconds that play when you activate the gramophone in-game.
Is this Disc 8?
If not, can someone up just Disc 7 and 8?
The Epilogue is a fantastic piece, with reference back to the original Deus Ex, but we both know the original version had lots of SFX in it… so how did you manage to get a clean version of it for your release?

I reconstructed it. It’s almost identical to the first 50 seconds or so of the track called "Invisible Hand" on disc 4. The only differences are that it’s a Major 2nd higher, and fades out at the end.
Aaaah, I thought I’d heard the exact same thing in like The Mole as well… Thanks for that. Did you ever try contacting Michael McCann for his work on the cutscene tracks/The Missing Link (he was supposed to have those up like 2 years ago)?
I did. No response yet. His Facebook and Twitter (at least the accounts he links to on his website) have been dead for two years too.
Damn, that sucks. Oh well, you and the others tried contacting him. I was hoping even if he had a SoundCloud that he’d post his original mixes for The Missing Link.
More Deus Ex OST is always awesome!
Best compilation for sure!
Human Revolution Sequel Mankind Divided has also been announced 🙂
I hope you do the OSV and Remixes as well!!

And yes please also do Invisible War, The Conspiracy, or The Fall 🙂
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is officially confirmed, Eidos has already revealed the final box art.
I know, I’m so hyped! The music sounds good, too.
And yes please also do Invisible War, The Conspiracy, or The Fall 🙂
I plan to. As far as The Fall goes, it only has about 5 songs that aren’t borrowed from DXHR, so I’ll probably just add them to this soundtrack. Expect a patch/2nd edition in the near future.

Yeah Eidos Montreal have the trailer music uploaded to soundcloud privately, and the filename has it as 24-bit/48kHz… but unfortunately can only download it at 128k.
Apologies for the very long (years!) delay in getting more tracks from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, DX: The Missing Link, and DX: The Fall on to this site and available to fans. Long story short, as of April 2015 this is now closer to becoming a reality, and this page will be updated more regularly over the coming weeks / months of April & May as to when this will happen.
I think I’ll put off adding The Fall tracks to my soundtrack until this is released.
thank you very much !
🙂
Well, I can’t really say I’m surprised. Honestly, I think his priorities are where they should be. Of course, earlier I said:
I think I’ll put off adding The Fall tracks to my soundtrack until this is released.
I might be rethinking this in the near future. Right now, I’m working on ripping the Jazz Jackrabbit series (I’m nearly done with 2) so it’ll probably wait until I’m done with that. The only thing is that I don’t really want to release something I know is about to be obsolete.
The in-game music itself was lossy… if anything at all, InfamousStar basically preserved the music in that format without destroying the audio…

Damn it, I’ve been anxiously checking McCann’s page once a week hoping he updates DXHR but if his priority is DXMD, then all good.
I’m hoping DXHR gets an expanded release from LLL… That’d be awesome 😀
Any plans on doing the Missing Link DLC, The Fall and Mankind Divided OSV Remixes?? 🙂
I’m eagerly waiting for Infamous’s custom of DXMD now.
Has anyone reached out to McCann in regards to whether he plans on releasing his Extended Version of DXHR as originally planned? (I’m not talking about the vinyl.)
