thanks so much for your time and share…
…any chance of a non-mega mirror?
thanks again
cheers
I’m uploading FLAC to mediafire, hope that works for you.
You should be patient though, my upload speed is rubbish.
patience is my middle name…
Great thanks for your perfect done work and sharing.
You are the man!:zillayay:

I’ve just added the mediafire link to the original post.
Enjoy!

Probably just for aethstetic purposes for portables.
I want a VST plugin to simulate vinyl for stuff that’s not on vinyl.
But Apple Lossless is not supported by ALL devices.
My Sony doesn’t support it, only AAC (from Apple technology).
Let’s forget about the aethstetic sound of vinyl noise.
EDIT: Let me rephrase…
Out of all the Apple technologies, my Sony can only support AAC.
Out of all the lossless technologies, my Sony can only support WAV.
Lossy formats supported: MP3 and WMA (lossy only).

You must have a very old Sony Walkman as Sony have been supporting ALAC for ages now especially with their Android devices and now their walkman since ALAC is now open source although Apple wont update or work on ALAC anymore
it’s not that old. It’s a couple years old, but like all manuals and shit, it doesn’t tell you shit.
I looked up the specs but it doesn’t say.
I swear I found a site saying my device supports FLAC, but can’t find any official statements.
My Android phone can support it through the media player I purchased, but I’m not putting lossless on my phone.
My storage capacity is severely limited for the phone. Even if I were to get a 64gb card for it, I still wouldn’t put lossless on it.
ALAC is now open source
I don’t think anyone’s going to update it anymore.
I don’t know who took over development of it.
Going open source was big news when it happened, but it wasn’t near as big as Xing.org taking over development of the FLAC code.
I prefer FLAC over Apple since it has added a lot of new improvements, fixes (critical) and, believe it or not, security vulernabilities.
Just a pity so many Mac users (and no excuses for people on Windows to not learn anything better than iTunes).
There are security vulernabilities in codecs. If one wanted, they could add malicious code to their encodes and distribute to exploit your machine.

Is that something? I’ve used it and it’s pretty good. And better yet, it’s FREE! You have to make subtle changes by the way, but it works really well.
Alas, if you want to have the same dynamics as vinyl, that’s a different story altogether…
:fabulousbatman:
same dynamics as vinyl
too much voodoo.
can’t wait to see what’s next…
In the meantime mediafire link for FLAC seems to be working fine.
