I don’t know if I would consider it best of 2014, personally there were a couple indie titles I liked better like Shovel Knight and Crypt of the Necrodancer. Still it’s been a really fun game (though supposedly the main protagonist was better in Far Cry 3, so I’ll have to try that once I’m done).

I’m playing through Farcry 4 myself right now. I don’t know about the best, but damn it it a lot of fun. I do agree that the characters were a little more engaging in Farcry 3, but the talk radio guy they’ve added in the vehicles is priceless. I’ve actually had to pause momentarily due to intense laughter.
