I downloaded the DYING LIGHT link that is here and I have all these files that are in formats that I’ve not seen before nor do I have a clue what-to-do. Most of the files are *.fsb but there are a few that are *.bika and then two *.bms files.

So obviously I need some help because I’m clueless here.

Okay so I installed a bunch of "video game playback" components to foobar2000 and I’m not sure which one did the trick (in no description did I see any of the file extensions listed) but I can now open the *.fsb files in foobar2000 and convert them to FLAC without trouble.

So that leaves me with the following question: What are the *.bms and *.bika files and what do they do?

The .BMS script is what he used to extract those files, I’m assuming.
The BIKA files can be converted to FLAC if you have dBPowerAmp. Can also be opened in Audacity.

Install the RAD video tools (radgametools.com), create a *.bat file inside the directory with the content
binkconv %1 "%~d1\%~p1\%~n1.wav" (obviously you have to create the file elsewhere and then move it to the program dir 😉 ), then open *.bika files with the batch file by default. It will simply decode *.bika files to wave. 🙂

And yes, the bms files contain the script(s) I used. It’s mainly for archiving reasons and for others to see how I obtained or converted the files. You may open these with a text editor to see what’s inside. 🙂

P.S.: You should also install vgmstream for Winamp as it’s a side-by-side developing and sometimes it supports other formats that the foobar plugin doesn’t support.

I’m not sure I understand. I only posted the games that are UNrippable in light grey, so everything you see isn’t available. All other uploads will be surprises. 😉

You should use Jdownloader for such tasks… I’ll stick with multi-upload hosters to avoid having to re-upload all the time. Go4up would be an alternative if you’re wondering.

Hmm, didn’t notice them (Edit: Just noticed I grabbed some ancient version.). Guess it doesn’t really matter since I already made FLACs out of it (does anyone care for the Ori fsb->flacs?) but… ya, I’m definitely still hoping someone does figure out how to recover the original files from those sound banks one day.

Alpha, those FSBs have multiple files inside. Not 100% sure why it can’t read it though.

Hi guys! I have quite a big problem and I’ll need your help! I’ll be on vacation for the next four weeks. I’m downloading the releases from Sign In – OPG.FORUM (http://opgforum.net) with JDownloader, using the MEGA links. Currently I’m about 100 games behind on the 2015 release list. In four weeks that will be quite a lot more. Many of the download links there will be offline then and in many cases those games are possibly lost forever as nobody else uploads them anywhere ever again (happens to a lot of indie games).
Here’s what I need YOU for me to do:
– register on the forum
– download all the PC, X360, PS3 and WiiU releases starting at 13th of May 2015 forward. For this, sort the forum by Start Date.
– also download all the new releases posted until July 20th.

JUST DOWNLOAD AND STORE, nothing more. All you need is a little patience and sime HDD space. I know it’s quite a task but if you split it among all of you, it should be possible quite easily.

Who is willing to help me out?

You should extract the cryptic archives and repack them (store only) as their release name e.g. "The.Legend.of.Kyrandia.Trilogy.GoG.Classic-I_KnoW.7z". Theoreticall you could extract the iso (up to the plain setup files) and repack it with 7zip and maximal compression if you want to (to save space). Note that I’ll need you to upload these games when I’m back from my vacation so I can process them, so prepare for some nights of uploading. 😉
