Normal thread policy, at least if I remember correctly, is to indicate both host and format in the title thread.
1. Title Format
The soundtrack name is a given, but if possible and when the soundtrack name isn’t too long to add any info, it would be best to add which format the soundtrack is in, such as FLAC, MP3, OGG, M4A or whatever, also the bit rate if it’s MP3, like 320, 256, 224, 192, vbr etc. The composer name would also be a plus to be included, but it’s not a priority if there’s not enough room. When there’s not enough room for additional information, please add it to the thread itself, it really does help others that have a preference when it comes to bit rates/format. This will also help mods to merge threads if any do happen to slip through.
Here’s an example: Slect Hotel – Jrme Coullet (1996) [FLAC + 320]
here’s the thread: Thread 98919
Also, making a lossless subforum would be pointless for 2 reasons: one, it wouldn’t be one but 3 lossless subforums. which means twice as much moderation. it would make what is already an abominable clutter of data even worse, etc, etc. Plus there have been request like your in the past and I think they were either denied or ignored.
Either way, here’s another vote against sub-forums. 95% of posts here do already provide some indication of the file format in the subject, and those that don’t… well, they can be asked to modify their posting habits or, God forbid, you could manually observe those posts to see if they contain what you’re looking for.
There’s already far too much sub-division going on here. We really don’t need more. The amount of benefit this would generate would be negligible at best – but the amount of extra effort it would require of the moderators (assuming it would be enforced – if it’s not, there’s no point having it) and indeed of posters, would be considerable.

Well I always try to add that data into the post itself. Back when I uploaded music for the film score subforum, I used to add the composer’s name. I’ll agree with you though, it should be mandatory. but on some anime CDs, it’s going to be tough. I have a CD that has more than half a dozen composers attached to it. If you add the title, the techspeak and the host, it’s going to be a novel , not a thread title.
