96kHz ain’t happening, there’s no need for it. I’ll see what I can do, but first I gotta rip the other newbies and get them uploaded. There’s more to come
Thanks!!!!
This actually has dynamic range. Nothing is compressed to crap, there’s no clipping, it sounds vastly superior to the OST on CD. I’d check out a vinyl rip of the second film’s OST if it sounds like this, that’s for sure.
Intrada and La-La Land are going to be doing vinyl releases this upcoming year, having seen a company like Mondo make money off of their hard work (as they infer). Intrada was even going to reissue their "RoboCop" album (which was awesome), but they can’t – some other label got a hold of it for a new vinyl release!
Of course not, that’s why I said I’d want to check out a vinyl rip of the second film’s OST, second, as in "The Dark Knight". This is "The Dark Knight Rises", being third.
Come on, this is the "Dark Knight Trilogy" we’re talking about here! 😀
Thank you very much! 🙂
Vinyl has always been like that. It’s slightly faster and that’s one of the ways you can tell it sounds different than any other format.

That’s the way vinyl works, and that’s why I do it: dynamic range. Also the actual sound of the vinyl as the needle runs over it – I’ve always loved that. It adds character to the score. I do have TDK on vinyl (I actually have the entire Dark Knight Trilogy on vinyl now), but I don’t think I’ve ripped it yet. I listened to it once when I bought it last summer. Not surprisingly, it sounded good. I’ve become so accustomed to the complete score now that when I listened to it that one time, I was able to write down a list of all the cues with their slates that make up the suites on the OST. I can almost do it with TDKR.

Well that’s fucking awesome news. Mondo has come a long way and they’re making out rather nicely. They don’t just do vinyl and posters anymore, they’ve delved into toys, clothing and VHS. I bought my first Mondo poster on Black Friday, Pulp Fiction. And they dove in deep this year with Batman’s 75th Anniversary. (More on that coming from me later). I can’t wait to see what Intrada and La-La Land bring us. In addition to Mondo, I would also say that Waxwork Records has been an inspiration to Intrada and LLL as well.
Much appreciate, my friend!!!
🙂
On a side note, shouldn’t a digital version of this, if originally mastered correctly, technically sound better than a vinyl rip?
Cheers, Paul
It’s still an awesome share. Thanks.
Track "C2 Fear Will Find You.flac" at 2:02 shift, or a bug. Perhaps the correct? Archive all pumped as a bug. Thank you.
Any possibility of re-uploading Side A and Side C without a "?" in the track name? My OS will not accept that as part of the filename, so it stops extracting at that point.
Btw, if the music is playing any slower or faster than the CD, you need to adjust your turntable. Pretty much all turntables allow you to adjust the speed of the rotation. The CD, for whatever it lacks in dynamics, always plays the correct speed. As a guy who grew up with records and cassettes, I was so happy to finally get a format that wasn’t all over the place with speed issues.
Thanks again for the share!
